except my point was that they introduced it earlier in another season so whether it is part of the book plot or not (i don't know, ive never read a page) it would still be in line with the show, which actually would be nice now that i think about it because it wouldn't be introduce somebody, kill them, repeat ad naseum...
and your first comment actually plays into it as well...him thinking about draining sookie completely bone dry is exactly what whoever killed her parents can't wait for one day8/7/2012 8:24:07 PM |

I'm sad about Hoyt -- he was one of the few rational people on the show. If he does end up leaving the show I don't want him to come back. It would take away from his character if he just came back next season after somehow remembering everything and acted like the glamoring just never even happened.
I'm pretty sure Bill is still planning something btw.
And who knows wtf is up with Godric and Lilith. Godric has appeared to Eric a few times (even when not high on that blood) so I'm not sure if there is some kind of vampire afterlife/ghost thing that can occur. 8/13/2012 10:16:34 AM |
elkaybie All American 39626 Posts user info edit post |
iirc, the other time eric saw godric he had just drained sookie. the rest with godric have been flashbacks.
i was surprised salome didn't jump on the day walking train.
i don't know what to think about bill. at first when he was taking lilith's blood from the vial i thought he was going to break out a lab coat and see if anything had been laced in it. then i thought when he was watching nora and eric on the monitor seeing godric that he was probably planning something (i do think nora might be questioning it now). but then when he brought jessica in i was confused again. playing a game? or is he really buying all of it? we'll see.
and andy's gonna have himself a half faerie baby. 8/13/2012 10:33:27 AM |

Also what's with godric saying he's evolved, so does that mean he's not just a ghost, he's the next step for vampires? but then lilth killed him, so now is he really dead or was it is all just a hallucination??
I mean if vampire blood when taken recreationally by humans can give people in a group the same interactive hallucination, I guess it's probable for thousand year old vampire blood to do the same for vampires. 8/13/2012 10:54:23 AM |

Unlike Russell, Salome has been a true believe all along. So that didn't surprise and it made a lot of sense when she said their bible forbid them from walking in the sunlight.
Quote : | "i don't know what to think about bill. at first when he was taking lilith's blood from the vial i thought he was going to break out a lab coat and see if anything had been laced in it." |
I thought the same thing... "alright, now he's going to find something." But, I too, am really confused by Bill. I think they're certainly selling it as if he's bought into it all. That just doesn't seem like his character to me though. So i'm not really sure. Especially considering how hard he was selling it with Jessica. But there are also cameras all over the place. IDK, I won't be surprised if it turns out he is just waiting for the right opportunity for something. He has been known to play the politics game a bit, so he may just be trying to stay in their good favor so he's in a position of influence. Bringing Jessica there may have just been a way to keep her safe from everything going on (they're very well protected there).
So what happens with Edgington now? They want effectively the same thing he does, just for different reasons (he just doesn't care, and they think it's some mandate from Lillith). Is there really any need for them to go after him if they really are abandoning the whole main-streaming idea?
With Russell gone, who is the oldest (strongest) in the group at the authority? I think Salome, but I'm not certain if that's known about the others or not.8/13/2012 11:26:15 PM |

Steve Newlin has been a great character this season.
I, too, and glad to see Laffy back to his old sassy flaming self.
I didn't understand that faery contract with Sookie and Jason. Is this Warlow a vampire or one of those mean ugly faerys? 8/14/2012 10:04:00 AM |
duro982 All American 3088 Posts user info edit post |
I'm pretty certain Warlow is a vampire. An ancestor of Sookie's (who was either faery, part faery, or at least knew they existed because they ran in their family somehow) made a contract with Warlow stating that he could have the next born faery in his family. That was/is Sookie. 8/14/2012 10:16:08 AM |
elkaybie All American 39626 Posts user info edit post |
I'm thinking Warlow is faerie. Claudine knew him. Not that Claudine doesn't know vampires, but they seem to stay away from vampires as much as possible due to their allure...I can't see how a faerie or part fae would agree to a contract of this kind b/c of it. And since it's not just next born, but next FEMALE born makes me think there's some kind of arranged marriage/breeding thing going on.
But he did move with lightening speed like vampires. I dunno.
I just want this authority/lilith thing to wrap up. And there's only two more episodes to do so. Gah!

I thought they showed that her parents had bite marks, maybe that was only in Jason's dreams. And I thought Sookie saw from his point of view that he bit them just like vampires do.
And the female thing could be a lot of things. For ex., perhaps the faerie "gene" is passed down from the mother. So maybe Warlow wants to "farm" faeries so he has them, and their blood, at his disposal for along time to come. Maybe he wants her so he could turn her (vampire + half faerie = maybe he can drink from her forever and get the benefits). Plus she would probably be able to day walk if she were a vampire, right? Maybe he just wants to create a group of vampires that can go out in the light. idk, a lot of possibilities there beyond an arranged marriage between faeries. Although, that's certainly a valid one. 8/14/2012 10:55:53 AM |

i like this except since the contract was made with a Stackhouse and we've seen her grandfather in faerie land who was also half fae, so if anything it seems like it would be passed down from the males of the family.

Why would he retain an accent from 3000 years ago? And maybe he was born in one place and then learned like 100 languages and switches between them whenever he feels like it.

If he is 3000 old then he is probably extremely intelligent. He's probably fluent in like 20 different languages alone and may have studied all sorts of linguistics to the point where he can switch between accents at ease so maybe he just prefers to go OG when he needs to get a point across.
That being said, I am the same as elkaybie. When I get very emotional (be it anger, frustration, sadness, etc.), when I'm back in the homeland, or whenever I go a while without interacting with too many Americans my accent is significantly thicker. 8/15/2012 10:55:35 AM |

Perhaps Warlow was a vampire that had some type of arrangement with the faeries and he was promised the next female faerie...
If they had babies, they would be half vampire/half faerie and could walk and be outside during the day...
Maybe that is where they are headed since it will overlap with Russell's rant about faerie blood and wanting to daywalk 8/15/2012 1:21:55 PM |

Ditto. The show is at a point where every character has a superpower and there is no believe-ability to the plot. (Assuming super-humans DO exist). They really should kill off a main character or two to make it more interesting8/21/2012 12:15:53 PM |

What main character would you cut? I really only see Sookie, Bill and Eric (and sometimes Alcide) as the main characters, and everyone else as secondary. You can't cut any of the main ones. Out of secondary, I would lose Nora, Luna, and Tara definitely. I could be convinced to part with Steve Newlin and all of the Chancellors. I'd be disappointed to lose Sam, Jason, Jessica, Pam or Russell Edgington.
