My jersey order saga continues...

I changed my order to BABCHUK 33 about 16 days ago and followed up to check the status today. They had no record of anything I had done... so basically I was back to the beginning.

I emailed them and told them I was PISSED that it took so long for them to even acknowledge my order, and that I understand that they couldnt go with PISSED 24, but why did it take a month to tell me. I also told them that I gave them a 200 dollar interest free loan that has netted me nothing. Supposedly it is scheduled to be completed next week, but I just told them to cancel. I got a cullen third off ebay for 50 bucks, so maybe the quality will be good enough there.

I did consider a last second change to JOKINEN 36 though

That reminds me how, as I'm sure you all are aware, Kevin Lowe is a terrible GM.

Edmonton gives up Jason Smith and Joffrey Lupul for Pitkanen, Geoff Sanderson, and a 3rd in 09.

A year later, they swap Pitkanen for Cole.

Jason Smith has just 1 point and is -6.
Joffrey Lupul is on pace for 25 goals, 51 points, and is -2.
Geoff Sanderson has not played this year.
Piktanen is on pace for 8 goals, 38 points, and is -1.
and Cole is on pace for 18 goals, 34 points, and is -4 (not to mention 5 years older than Pitkanen).

The net result is Edmonton traded away a 25-year-old 25 goal scorer and a stay-at-home defenseman for a 30-year-old whose point-per-game totals have declined in 3 straight years, with an upside now of probably 20 goals a season.

So... icejerseys 'secure' orders are not exactly secure, as Sweden pointed out to me a couple of weeks ago. I was perusing through the orders to see if there was a good coupon code that I didnt know about... and lo and behold I found one.

The order was billed to:

Eklund Eklund

and shipped to a name/address in Pennsylvania. The coupon code that was used for the order was HBPRIZE**, evidently from some deal he has worked out with his hockeybuzz site. I wonder if I could get in trouble for outing his ass.

I am just basically pissed about my jersey order, as today they told me my jersey would be a couple of weeks from being customized and I subsequently canceled the order... they informed me that it was too late as they made a mistake and my jersey is actually being customized now.

So the skills competition hurt us last night with the Rangers beating the Caps 5-4 in it and the Pens 2-1 over the Sharks. However, Ottawa beat Buffalo 3-1 and Edmonton beat Montreal 7-2.

If we can win tonight, we are back in 8th, a point behind the Sabres, 3 behind the Rangers, and 4 behind the Habs, none of which will have games in hand.
