you're right. I shouldn't expect a large contingency of reporters at the college national championship game for the most popular sport in the nation in any way to represent reporters as a whole... I mean, those guys aren't the real reporters. they're certainly not the big time ones or anything. probably just pulled in the guys from WFMY and WRAL. Maybe even got the local high school kids to show up, too.

For a moment is was odd to see a five loss Michigan in the final rankings...but then you remember their SOS, all five losses good quality, three of which to top 5 teams - I wonder how often a team plays that many top-5s in one season...

Interestingly the last time a 5-loss finished ranked was 2010, and it was South Carolina (UM's close bowl loss this year).
