wouldn't surprise me if the season finale ended with a continuation and next season is just part 2 of this season 8/21/2012 10:06:33 PM |

Yeah, Nora started off strong... and not just because of the unnecessary sex scene in the very first episode with her. She had a little edge there, then she turned out to just be a sheep.
Sam, Jason, Jessica, Pam or Russell Edgington are pretty much my favorite characters at this point.
I've always liked Jason and Jessica, Russell was awesome from the start, and Pam has grown on me a lot (that character's development has been very good over the seasons). Sam has fallen off for me mostly due to his shitty story-lines. I guess I still like the character in general, but the stuff they've had him doing the past couple of seasons have just seemed like distractions from the main plot to me. 8/21/2012 11:10:46 PM |

Honestly they could kill off either Bill OR Eric and I'd be OK with it. Something to dramatically shift the storyline...
And definitely Tara, Nora, Alcide (or any Were) can be killed off.
Sam has become so obnoxious he could disappear as well. Or maybe Sam rises up financially and starts buying things in the town and becomes mayor or something.
As you can see, I'm just bored with this show now. It seems like it has potential, but at this rate should be done in another season. 8/22/2012 8:16:17 AM |

^^agreed. Especially Sookie. And why the fuck does she use her childhood name for her grandmother when talking to other people? When you talk to people that don't know your grandparents you don't refer to them by the childhood nicknames you have for them, unless you want to look like a complete retard.
Somebody tell me how that older faery could be so completely stupid. She knows all about Russell Eddington and thinks she can just go out there and shoot him? Seriously? Terribly weak writing there.

^I dont have a crush on him, so I dont care if he dies.
Plus, it doesn't add much drama or excitement to kill off someone you didn't like anyways. That's why I think they should kill off a major character.
Everyone I've talked to that watches this show seems to be losing interest. I don't think it's a bad show, it's just dwindling. 8/22/2012 2:31:09 PM |

Once again, this show has far too little content stretched across far too many episodes.

I had heard this season would end in a cliffhanger, but I wasn't expecting that.
And agreed, the faery birth was ridiculous. Glad the Alcide storyline is wrapping up. Just wish they could have resolved the Luna/Emma one and gotten it out of the way too. 8/26/2012 10:11:54 PM |
duro982 All American 3088 Posts user info edit post |
^ I'm sure Sam/Luna/Emma will end up tagging along with the rest of the gang on the way out of the authority at the beginning of next season.
I'm glad they didn't just wrap it up with Bill having some plan all along and then all of sudden we're just "reset" for a new adventure next season.
not new news, but Alan Ball is leaving as show runner.
The plus side of that is that the show has been kind of "meh" overall lately (imo - and from what I can gather from others), and that has to fall on the shoulders of Ball at the end of the day. So a change of guard could at least make things different, which leaves the possibility of making things better. The flip side of that is "What if Ball was solely responsible for the good parts that had a lot of potential?" I guess we'll find out next season.

I figured the whole season whoever was "the chosen one" and actually drank all the blood would just be used as a vessel to get her spirit back to the world. Seemed like she was just trying to convince anyone to drink enough of her that she could consume their body. So should be interesting to see what happens. Going to go out on a limb and presume that now Bill is the strongest of the vampires since Russell ate it, plus how terrified Eric looked considering he's pretty much shown his dominance of strength/speed over Bill throughout the show. 8/27/2012 7:53:08 AM |
Beethoven All American 4080 Posts user info edit post |
I had forgotten the Compton/Bellefleur ties, so that is interested.
^and I think Eric was probably more terrified for Sookie, instead of himself. But it does seem like re-incarnate Bill is pretty strong/evil. 8/27/2012 8:04:09 AM |

the only way they could keep stephen moyer's old ass on the show is to keep him covered in blood so you can't see how old he's actually getting 8/27/2012 8:31:09 AM |

I guess now that Jason is the kid from the 6th Sense we can take him off the list of non-supernatural beings in Bon Temps.
I was pretty sad to see Russell go so quickly. As a villain he obviously wouldn't be around forever but I figured he'd at least have a pretty cool fight that killed him. Beast-mode Bill vs. Russell could have been cool.
One thing I was reminded of -- in the previous episode Jason and Jessica were tricking those two vampire escorts with her. When they were lying in the grave then Jason jumped up and shot them -- does his regular police issue pistol have wooden bullets? Regular bullets in a gun wouldn't have done anything to the vampire escorts. I guess it is feasible that with all the vampire activity going on Jason would have had wooden bullets in his gun anyway. 8/27/2012 8:46:12 AM |
Pikey All American 6421 Posts user info edit post |
I figure a wooden bullet would probably kill a regular person when shot too. At least from within 30 feet. 8/27/2012 9:49:53 AM |

I think they talked about that a few seasons ago, how all the LEOs carry wooden bullets now.
I don't think I like where they're going with brain addled unstable Jason. And I'm hating the year wait before next season. This is just way too long to wait. 8/27/2012 9:52:10 AM |

I think a lot of it had to do with all of the extra faeries that were in the meadow yet still invisible to Nora. Sookie was the only non-vamp, other than jason, and she does smell like it but not as strong. As far as at Sookie's house later, she was probably just still thinking about it. 8/27/2012 8:39:30 PM |
