I don't know if France "dominated." They were definitely the better team throughout the game but their goal was a sketchy PK and Italy had a really close offsides call on a 2nd goal.

I agree both were warranted... but both could've gone either way in a different game and the fact that France "dominated" wouldn't have been as obvious to some people. Even if Zidane doesn't get thrown out, Trezeguet still probably takes a PK.. and there's still the chance he hits the post again.

Frankly, I was surprised that Trezeguet got in at all. He hasn't played regularly in two years, and he had only been in one game of the seven up to that point. Granted, Saha was banned and you'd be hard pressed to but Govou into a game like that, but I'd rather see Wiltord go in up front and Dhorasoo on the right.
