Well I mean the numbers are just so small. They take in how many scholarship players per year? 15-20? I think the general admission number increase by more than that ever year so... no... those FB players don't deny anyone a chance at an education.

I would imagine that they admit every one they are going to admit, and they just let in whatever athletes they are told to admit. I don't imagine it makes a huge difference. They have 28 varsity teams. They've got around 750 athletes. They admitted 5000 total last year. Figure 1/4th of the athletes are gonna be freshman... That's 175 students out of 5000. Figure 1/4 are gonna be walk-ons. That leaves us with 130 extra students a year. More than enough for the university to handle.
