I have to say that is a hugely epic fail on the police there to have a guy in a massive chase involving bombs and gunfire and a suspect on foot and somehow he gets out. The only thing I can think is they are saying this hoping he is listening and thinks he can sneak out now so they can flush him out rather than searching at night

If he's smart he's in a hole somewhere waiting for the pressure to die down. So yeah, the police if they back off and he comes out is probably their best shot.

it was not a fail. this police presence wasn't there last night. yes, there were a lot more cops than suspects at the shootout, but it wasn't like it happened in a secured area or an area with a perimeter.


bombers were not the armed robbers of the gas station. they were there around the same time though.
