I have a new thought on the show. I think the island manifests people's thoughts. Sort of like in Michael Crichton's "Sphere". SOmeone had mentioned the boy reading the comic book with the polar bear and how the rain stopped after the dad made the comment. Also Locke being able to walk and hunt down a boar. Whatever people want or look for seems to happen. I dunno, just a thought.
