Considering how fucking close minded and ignorant the majority of the population at this school seems to be, all the criticism is not suprising. I saw it three times and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Example:
English class, reading a short story about Native Americans
Prof: "Now, read the short biography at the end. Do you think the author's perspective on life shaped how she wrote this piece?"
Ignorant Student: "Eww, man, she's a fucking lesbian, this is bull shit, why the hell did you make us read this shit?"

the reason i am glad crash won

is because it puts earlier released movies back into play

lately it has seemed like to win best picture, or hell to even be nominated, you had to be released in 5 cities on december 20, and not reach middle america until february or march, IF AT ALL

i think crash proves a movie that is already on dvd can be a competitor
