Do you just enjoy sounding stupid or something?

No part of that story is even remotely true.

well, i was listening to the fat girl ps3 and she said she was into wwII combat games and the wii girl didn't mention it so i thought wii wasn't gonna be doing games like the MOH series

but this "blazing angels" game in the lineup sounds more like a flight game moreso than first person

Wow, Dragon quest.

I thought I was only buying the system game for Twilight Princess. (It will also be released on the gamecube)

They could do without another crystal chronicles game.

you should check out the videos for Red Steel. It looks pretty awesome. I'm not really even into FPSs that much, but I'm looking forward to playing it.

I generally don't play FPSers, but I am really looking forward to Red Steel for some reason.

I guess because of the controller it will feel like one of those arcade games with the guns, and I did always love those growing up.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles must be a mistake on that list. The game was never announced as a Wii launch title and it was only shown as a pre-rendered trailer at E3.

Of course, Dragon Quest Monsters has been confirmed as a Wii launch title and there no hands-on impressions of it either. I guess the event on August 23 will settle things.

I could have sworn that the new Mario game was a launch title. I heard the same thing about the new SSB. Haven't been following it much, so it might have changed since then.

That wasn't a finalized list, just a list of currently confirmed launch titles.

Smash Bros. definitely is not a launch title. That was explicitly said when the game was announced. Super Mario Galaxy currently isn't listed as a launch title and the lineup is strong enough without it anyway.

Here's an interesting new development:

http://wii.ign.com/articles/725/725645p1.html

Quote :
"Nintendo's new Wii console could be yours later this year for less than expected. Tokyo-based Nikko Citigroup has issued a report on Nintendo's rising stock price, and between all the jargon is the financial institution's forecast that the Wii will carry a Japanese price point of 19,800 yen.

Current exchange rates would put an equivalent US price at $170.00. However, console prices rarely convert according to exchange rates. At most, we can probable take this report to indicate an anticipated US price of under $200.

Nikko Citigroup previously forecast a 25,000 yen price for the Wii. The firm arrived at the new, lower price point based on its expectation that Nintendo will be able to procure the Wii's CPU for less than expected.

This report is just another prediction by a financial institution and shouldn't be taken as confirmation of the Wii's price. For now, the official Nintendo word is that the system will be sold for under 25,000 yen in Japan and $250 in America. Final details are expected in September."

It was stated by Myairimototoamo that the new Mario would not be at launch but within 6 months of it.

Also, be prepared for serious letdown with Red Steel. THe controls are not at all as free-flowing as you think. In fact there are talks of pushing the game back to 2007 to redo them because the E3 feedback was so negative on it. (for example, there are like 2 slash types and no matter what you do with the wiimote it will only do one of those 2 set slash attacks)

Is it really that hard to conceive that Nintendo might actually make something you would enjoy playing? Pull your head out of your ass!

Confirmation that online access to play will be free on the wii (like the PS2, unlike Xbox Live)

Now that I look back on things, it was explicitly said that it would be a launch title when it was announced. It has apparently changed since then.

If that image doesn't show up, it basically says Nintendo of America's holding a big event Sept. 14.

I read on the GameStop website that one of the accessories being made for the Wii is an HD video cable which obviously seems strange.

It means nothing... just an HD-grade component cable. MadCatz s jsut trying to sucker people in by adding the HD tag to the product.
