Some folks on PackPride said that C-F's capacity would be under 60k. I've heard that it will be between 61-62k seats.

Anyone know the real capacity? Per Murphy Center employees, it will be between 61-62k, but something was announced on 850 Buzz that it will be 58k.

I am confused now.

we probably won't really know till the first game of the season. or the first big game. i thought our permanent seating capacity for the stadium with the vaughn towers was somewhere between 53-53,800. now add on over 7k with the NEZ and take away 1,000 or so grass hill and the few people that sat in the balcony of the old field house and you've got perhaps right under or right at 60k. i wanted it to be more.

But Philip and Torry's doing well in the pros, so that means I'm going to go automatically to the pros. I must go to NCSU."

Shows me how little you know about recruiting. Have 3 DL go in Rnd 1 was huge for recruiting other DL. I know what you are saying but for in-state recruiting its huge. Recruits have been quoted over and over how impressed they are that we had the #1 overall pick...they see that as good coaching and they see themselves benefiting from that. Name the last good Defensive Lineman from VT to go to the NFL....Bruce Smith...and don't say Tapp b/c he's nothing special. Miami has had a few DL in the past few years but they haven't had 3 go in round 1. Now we still get killed in recruiting skill position players b/c we have had little to no success in the NFL. Miami and VT on the other hand puts LBs, DBs, WRs, RBs all over the NFL...we need a few break through players at those positions so we can start "re loading" instead of rebuilding. With Ray Brooks back at DE, Id say we are re loading at DL but we are thin at LB.

It would be nice if Heath and Scott had huge years at saftey b/c we have some young guys behind them...LB needs some to step up so we stop lossing the top LBs in the state to Florida, etc.

you must also look at the playing time option. Some of the more consistent powerhouses might have extra shit for the players to have to go through like competition for positions, limited playing time, etc...

I doubt anything has really changed much.

atleast what you see on the outside. A lot of the work now is trying to finish things inside.

yeah, they need to put down a bunch of pavers, and assemble the bleachers, and put up the video boards, and a bunch of other things

what I was saying is that a lot of the things left are "small" things that when taken together are a lot. But you wouldn't necessarily notice that big of a change with the completion of any one thing.

a poster on PP said that they had already started working on assembling the "permanent" bleachers. this was a day or two ago. those should go up fairly quickly

oh and in talking about recruiting, if i was a highly touted recruit, one of the most important things to me besides the amount of playing time i could get would be how much the girls at the school like to suck penis, but hey that's just me.

I drove by this afternoon. No camera in hand, but damn, the stadium really does feel complete now. No more glaring weaknesses. They are about 1/2 way done framing the semi-permanent bleachers, and they are bricking in the "dail plaza" and working on the entrance. Wolf statute on the west side looks good too. only thing I did not see was any work being done where the new video-boards are being installed. I am sure they will be put up in a day or two once the process starts, and they are delivered, just prep work, and wiring underground for now.

the permanent bleachers. it's just the steel structure right now, but it gives you a great idea of how it will look.

the 300 section of the new endzone (permanent bleacher seats) are high as hell, they go all the way up to the bottom of the scoreboard on the concourse!

where did the team practice before the practice facility was built by CF?

^^ but seriously... THANK YOU

I can't tell you the number of times I got into an argument with event staff over where they would let us in. For the wolfpack club tickets they always changed their minds about what gate we could use.

they may have changed it like once.

the majority of the season was you could go in any gate because you had a non scannable ticket with a stub.

They have the steel supports up for both new scoreboards. They are in the process of paving the parking lot on the north side of the stadium.

yes, these are "permenant" bleachers, as opposed to the temp ones of years past. They are nicer looking and really don't take away from the look of the stadium, esp. when they are filled up with fans in red this fall. If/when the need for tickets is high enough there is potential to put more "permenant" sytle seats in place...
