Taken from an interview with John C. McGinley (he plays Dr. Cox):

AJ: Why does Dr. Cox hate Hugh Jackman?

McGINLEY: I think it's because the creator of the show just can't stand how talented he is. Hugh Jackman is just too talented. For him to have won a Tony, he's Wolverine, and he's deadly good-looking. He's a great athlete, he can sing and he can dance. That's too much for Billy (Lawrence) to process.

ah clip shows, the true comedy show filler. it was a weak clip show too, like something they threw together just to make the series last a week longer.

speaking of which, how many more episodes are left?

i was just about to post in here about the show without JD, but then i read this article:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/03/06/television.scrubs.reut/index.html

Quote :
"LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Zach Braff is about to land a big payday, as long as his hospital comedy "Scrubs" gets renewed by NBC for a seventh season.

The actor has cut a one-year deal with "Scrubs" producer ABC TV Studio that will pay him about $350,000 per episode for the 2007-08 season of "Scrubs," sources said. Each season consists of about two dozen episodes.

Braff's deal is contingent on NBC picking up the show for a seventh year, which is expected, notwithstanding its lowly season-to-date viewership of 6.9 million people, according to Nielsen Media Research.

If so, Braff's new deal would place him among the highest-paid male actors on television, alongside "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen, whose paycheck also is in the $350,000-per-episode range.

Representatives for Braff and the production company declined comment.

Braff is the anchor of the ensemble on "Scrubs," playing the amiable young doctor John "J.D." Dorian. Braff's star has been on the rise during the past few years thanks to "Scrubs" and the strong response to his auteur turn as writer, director and star of the 2004 indie romantic comedy "Garden State."

His upcoming projects include a starring role in the comedy "The Ex," and he is slated to star and direct the drama "Open Hearts" for Paramount Pictures."

not sure if this is old news, but i guess he won't be leaving the show if nbc picks it up for a 7th season

$350k/episode is "among the highest" now?
wow.... makes you wish the good old days of Seinfeld, Friends and Fraiser were back when everyone was getting $1M+ every week.

but for real, i have wondered about that..... for a "normal" show, i wonder what the lead characters get, then the secondary characters. I wonder, for example, how much everybody on The Office got for the first 1/2 season it was on, vs. what they get now.

yeah that was ridiculous. but it makes sense, neither scrubs nor two and a half men have near the following of those other shows. it may be awhile before we see another primetime comedy powerhouse that warrants such a payday for its actors

Whats even more insane is they offered Seinfeld $5mil an episode to come back for another year and he turned it down.

"NBC's "Scrubs" is definitely coming back for a season, but possibly on ABC, which in turn is weighing the future of utility players "According to Jim" and "George Lopez."

...

Things are far more complicated with "Scrubs" because there is another suitor for the ABC TV-produced show, the ABC network, which needs an established comedy.

After ABC TV locked up the entire cast of the show, including star Zach Braff, for a seventh season and signing a new deal with the hospital where the quirky comedy is being filmed, "Scrubs" is locked to come back.

it is almost like this is a coincidence

considering Braff's last movie had awful reviews

although i liked it, because i hate women and choose to treat them as bad as i can, in order to get laid more often

i think he finally figured out that that scrubs is his safety net, and i dig that
