Remember, we can go 1-10 but as long as we beat Carolina, he should stay!

Reserve judgment until we lose to Carolina.

You shut the fuck up too. He hired the dumbass and he has a part in the gameplan. He also instills the great discipline that leads to all those fucking false starts.

I've never been this adamant...but we need to get this fucking clown out of here.

you're more of a moron than I thought if you honestly believe a coach controls false starts.

if anything you shuold yell that he didnt bench the guy making the false starts.

or that he recruited half-brained ape men. but saying his "discipline" makes them jump is just assinine

Lots of penalites = lack of discipline. I don't care what kind of penalties they are. That mother fucker is a 5th year OT and he's false starting that many times in a game??? I would just love to be at practice or in the locker room to see what Chuck says to these guys. Whatever it is...it should be made into a video and title..."How not to coach a division 1 program."

brooks. lets be honest. you can lead a horse to water...

all the ranting and raving in the world wont stop a guy from jumping if he's just a moron

hence my earlier statement that you can only get made at amato for recruiting morons that can't stop jumping. say "god dammit amato sit his old ass if he wont listen" and I'll agree with you.

it has nothing to do with coaching will or instruction. amato can't will them to not jump. he can only pray they fucking listen.

whoever said there's a reason we don't throw down field ALL THE TIME is right on. the coaches see what goes on in practice, they know the strengths and weaknesses of their players, so they try and put a gameplan in to play to their strengths, dumbasses. We have two of the best RBs in the league, and a QB who is a skinny, inconsistent sophomore. Who do you think they're going to plan the game around?

Other than Evans flinging up fade passes to giant receivers (which only work in single coverage situations) he hasn't thrown the ability to go down field consistently. One big play, then the next one for a pick. I'm all for Evans being the starter, but you guys have got to understand he's got weaknesses.

It's not just Evans, it's not just Trestman, it's not just Chuck. We're just not a very good football team. Too young in too many positions.

Burke needs to take charge next year... Stone and Evans although having shown signs of ability just don't have what it takes to make it as DI quarterbacks.

We need to bring in a new HEAD coach who can evaluate our situation and take a new approach.

FIRE TRESTMAN

http://www.redandwhitefromstate.com/article.php?story=20061028115950505

interesting article

Quote :
"Frank Cignetti will be out of a job soon. Cignetti was the coach that made little Fresno State a scoring monster, a dangerous non-BCS school in the farmlands of California who's offense often resembled a thresher moving through hay. Except the hay were name BCS teams. Think he might want to stay i the Triangle? There's a job he should be offered before Carolina has a chance to hire a new head coach. Hiring Cignetti would improve the brain trust in the Murphy Center, and it would be torpedo in the Carolina program. In fact, Cignetti coming here might doom the next Carolina coach for four or five years, before he ever sets foot in Chapel Hill.

You'd Get Frank....AND Mike.

The highly touted and physically gifted Mike Paulus wants to play for Cignetti and be near his brother, Duke's point guard Greg Paulus. Cignetti's brother Curt is already on the Wolfpack staff. On so many levels, this would be a great change: first, it improves the offensive leadership. Second, it hurts UNC, because young Paulus says that he wants to play for Cignetti. With him in Raleigh, he's still near his brother. State might find itself getting one of the nation's top recruits – and take him away from their arch-rival to boot. Could it get much better than that?

Yes. In short, Hell yes!

Paulus has recruited heavily amongst his bretheren prep players, and has done a whale of a job recruiting for UNC...before he ever got there. He's said recently that he's looked at as “the ringleader” of UNC's highly touted incoming class, and if Paulus comes to Raleigh, it might follow that some of the crème of UNC's incoming crop might wear red and white. Think of the possibility of AJ Davis ten times over. It could happen. If Amato were to replace Trestman with Frank Cignetti before Carolina even finished hiring their new coach.

Do The Right Thing, Chuck."

The worst idea ever would be for us to hire Frank Cignetti, and making the idea worse is the idea that we would do so in order to recruit that dickbag Mike Paulus. TRAWFS is dumb if that came from there.

Why is all the hate on Trestman?

It isn't his fault that Chuck decides that offensive line is not important.

Seriously the man was a coordinator in the NFL for years, he knows what the fuck he is doing, he has to have something to do it with. He made Rich Gannon, a career nobody into almost the NFL's best.

Trestman isnt the problem

Chuck has final say on the plays, he can change them at any moment and lots of times does, Trestman must also approve any substitutions through Chuck before they happen...

Fire Chuck, they were talkin this morning about how Olliver played last night and where all this talent came from but how we had such a terrible record throughout the years.

our old Oline coach is at the Lions now, our current one was the weight training coach for the team, he also played line when he was here...so hes had under a year to get this line in place, and hes had to do a ton of patchwork on it as well/

^dude, we play martyball in the first half, and then start rolling downfield when we get behind. it's not a coincidence, it's a change in playcalling.

I don't know how good/bad Pat Meyer is going to be.

Can't be worse than Mike "What's an offensive line?" Barry.

We just don't have much talent on OLine becuase it's been overlooked from a recruiting standpoint. Hopefully, we can fix that... and this years/last years class may go a long way in a year or two

Oline recruiting has been overlooked, but you would think that Chuck would not do that considering how important he saw the oline was during FSU's dominant run while he was there. There just manhandled people up front.

Most bigtime coaches give the offensive coordinator all of the offensive decisions (as far as substitutions, playcalls, and things like that). THe only thing Chuck should be in on as far as the offense goes is things like whether to go for it on 4th down, overall decision making. Chuck doesn't. This is one of the reasons that he can't keep an OC. They don't like working for him. I personally don't think Trestman is that bad. He isn't the best, but we could have much, much worse.

The buck stops with Chuck. We don't honestly seem to have a gameplan. NO matter what team we are playing, our offense looks exactly the same. It doesn't look like we try to exploit other team's weaknesses that we should see on film.

I see Chuck as a good recruiter, a below average game planner, and a piss poor in-game coach. If this is what some of you still want in Raleigh, then so be it but that is not for me. I would rather have an ok recruiter, good game planner, and great in game coach. You simply win more games that way (see Jim Grobe, who might could be a good recruiter at another school).

Chuck has worn out his welcome, just as Herb had for many Wolfpack fans. It is time for a change.
