If by "nice" you mean "infuriating."

I am a details-oriented sort of fellow.

yeah, i agree. But Jack and Liz still have an incredible chemistry, which definitely has sexual undertones.

From IMDB.com

Quote :
"NBC To Bench 'Studio 60' and '30 Rock'
NBC plans to pull its critically praised but ratings-challenged comedies Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and 30 Rock from its schedule next month, replacing them with two new series. The Black Donnellys is set to debut on Monday, March 5 at 10:00 p.m., following the network's hit drama Heroes, while Andy Barker, P.I., starring Andy Richter takes over the 9:30 pm. time slot on Thursdays beginning March 15. The network promised that Studio 60 will returned "later this season on a date to be determined." 30 Rock, which recently won a Golden Globe and SAG Award for star Alec Baldwin, is scheduled to return on April 19. oh jesus god tell me they're not pulling 30 rock. it's best thing they've had since the office (and if it stays at the same level for a couple season i think it would surpass the office in my mind)

so on the 30 rock board on imdb the 12 year olds are saying that the hiatus is to see if a replacement does better, but that likely it will be the same sort of deal as the office. (six episode first season, push the dvds and see how it goes, and likely renew the following season).

replacing it (at least temporarily) with an Andy Richter show? jeez, what a waste of time.

I NEED MY TRACY MORGAN

this is the sort of switcharoonie crap that sank futurama

i'm not comparing it to seinfeld, but that show would have never existed in today's market the way it started out

um, i'm not quite sure if i am reading this correctly, but if you are trying to say that Snuffy Walden created Sports Night and Studio 60, you are incorrect. That's Aaron Sorkin. However, Snuffy Walden did the music for Sports Night, Studio 60, and the West Wing (another Sorkin creation)

meh - middle of the road episode.
i still prefer the weird, quirky jack of a couple months ago. he's just.... different, lately. still weird, but not quirky.

and does that count as a "de-gaying" of kenneth? Has he shown interest in women before? I kinda figured he was gay the whole time.

^^ It was a joke. More important than all of his Sorkin work, Snuffy Walden wrote the "My So-Called Life" theme, the single greatest original TV theme of all time.

^ He's not gay, he's from Georgia.

I decided to DVR 30 Rock about a month ago just to see what it was all about, and now I cant miss an episode. Its definetly one of the best comedies out there.

sucks that they are messing with the thursday lineup, especially to try out a show for that idiot Andy Richter

p.s. the black donnellys is gonna suck too

But it's coming right up into 2nd place pretty fast!

i think 30 rock is more consistently funny than the office, even though they aim for different types of funny.

I'll take that comment back as the black donnellys looks like it has some potential. But 30 Rock is the best sitcom out there now, IMO

I could agree with that, if accepting the proposal from TV Squad in the review of last night's The Office, that The Office is no longer a sitcom. It's gone beyond the sitcom level. Not really a dramady, but the amount of drama and tension that's built into it, especially given events like the outburst from Roy last night, definately push it beyond the level of a normal sitcome.
http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/02/22/the-office-cocktails/

I'll draw a somewhat obsceure parallel. I thought Austin Powers 2 was a funnier movie than the first, but that the first was a much better overall movie. Kind of the same here - yeah, 30 Rock may have me laughing more and longer, but I still get more satisfaction out of The Office.

either way - two unique shows that should be on for years to come!

^^^ The Office is no longer a sitcom because some guy on the internet said so.

Wow.

If that's the truth, though, I expect a bunch of people jumping on to that shit like it's Buffy.

At the same time, that Obama/Osama joke was easier to read than a Marcus Stone pass.
