Don't let this define you. You were young and made a mistake. It happens to everyone. Take these lessons to heart and keep on living your life. If you do that, you may be able to demonstrate a new found maturity and could potentially re-enter politics. But even if you don't, just remember that your career isn't everything.

As your first step to moving on, I recommend realizing that you don't need to prove anything to a bunch of college kids on a message board. It's easy to laugh at other people, but it takes strength to keep moving and to not let their bad attitude distract you from living.

PS* If you want to take comfort in this year's political season, I recommend checking out HIllary's lie about being shot at by snipers. She repeated that story time after time, even after Sinbad and other eyewitnesses disputed it. She didn't admit she was wrong until she was confronted with the actual news coverage. Yet, she's still went on to win several primaries. And even if she doesn't win the nomination this go around, she's still got a career in NY and may still have a shot in 2012 or later.

Not saying people should get away with lying. Only that everyone deserves a second chance. Just focus on being a good person (and goiod people dont lie). Everything else works itself out.
