2 of my really good friends did the infantry thing. They both ended up training in Hawaii then being sent to iraq.

Best thing to do is just write them a LOT of letters so they know things back home are ok, you're thinking about them, and that it'll be like normal when they get home.

He graduates tomorrow but still hasn't written to let me know when he'll be back in this area. This will definitely teach me to be more patient.

If he's stationed at Schofield in HI he might be able to get you a room at the Hale Koa in Waikiki.
If he's on the Big Island (I believe there's an army post there)...then I don't know anything about that.

People say this, but I just don't see it. Fayetteville is a STD infested shit-hole (granted, not as bad as Jax, but at least they've got the beach) with close to no reedming qualities whatsoever.

Oh, I'm not saying its the worst, not by any means (Fort Sill sucks more than Bragg and I've heard all about Polk) but I'd never call it "awesome".

should've joined the coast guard brother. At the newcomer's orientation for Polk they had a 2 HOUR SUICIDE PREVENTION CLASS. Apparently it's a big problem here.
