OK, so they RACED the COT today! I thought they just unveiled it! Silly me!

And, yay Team Hendrick!! And Yay Jeff Gordon being the points leader, and Jimmie in third! Poor Mark Martin bumped all the way to 7th in points after holding out in the top spot for the whole season!

Now, this year's points officially determine who has to race their way into the field. Kasey Kahne is 34th, and barely in. Johnny Sauter has the 35th spot, while guys like Dale Jarrett, Brian Vickers, Jeremy Mayfield, and AJ Allmendinger (who I bet wishes he was still in Champ Car) are outside of the top 35. Jarrett, I believe, only has 1 provisional left.

As for Michael Waltrip, he still hasn't made it to 0 points for the year.

^ Jarrett has two left. He's allowed six, used four up, and qualified on time this past weekend.

Vickers has only made two starts but is not too bad in owner points. He's within striking distance of 35th.

Waltrip is in absolutely terrible shape. I would not be surprised to see him put someone else in the car later in the year just so it makes races. NAPA have to be furious.
