halo has always been more about the multiplayer, not the campaign mode. I dont know what else you would do after you beat the campaign mode once besides multiplayer and own other kids.

Yeah, this is why I can't get excited at all about Halo 3, well that and I don't have a 360. Originally I bought an X-box just to play Halo 1. Halo 2 was such a letdown the promise of playing part 3 isn't going to get me to buy a 360.

i think the campaign of Halo 2 was good....except the last boss fight which was absolutely terrible! However, the game its self was pretty good...except that the pistol was the sorriest gun you could hold. Dual weilding was great and so was hijacking vehicles. I was happy to see the needler actually do damage.

maybe. people like myself heavily prefer class based game. i assume cod4 continues off of 3's class style? if not i guess im waiting till quake or TF2. i got a bit tired of straight capture the flag for some reason. i prefer support classes, though i guess you can kinda do that as vehicle driver or whatnot.

if you havent played cod4, youre missing out, its 10x better than any medal of honor or cod3 or any of those multiplayer.

i had the halo 3 beta and i like cod4 way more, it feels like something new and amazing

in COD4 you create your own class once you get the right rank. Which is early on. So basiclly the way it works is you pick a primary weapon, then attachments (so long as you've unlocked them)

attachments include:
grenade launcher
silencer
ACOG scope
rifle scope

then you pick your camouflage.

Then you pick a secondary weapon....basically at the beginning you have 2 pistols to chose from.

Next you pick your 'perks' which is a really neat idea that they added. Perks include things like added bullet damage. Another perk gives you the ability to shoot through certain walls (deep impact), steady hand for accuracy etc etc...

you get 3 perks per class

Thats the whole class creation. As for game play, you have a radar that only shows your enemy on it when they are near by and they've fired their weapon OR you have a airborne UAV (which you get after 3 kills in a row) Now you can avoid being detected on radar if you use a silencer as a attachment this way every time you fire your weapon, you don't appear on your enemies radar.

Graphics are very well done too, and keep in mind this is multiplayer not singleplayer. From my experience most games like this water down their graphics and gameplay for the multiplayer. Much like GRAW and GRAW2...MOH....etc etc. My favorite part of the graphics engine is when you use your rifle to aim down the sites. It blurs everything out of your peripheral vision and only focuses on whats down the sites. Pretty neat looking.

Also, just like Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highways been braging about how the gun is no longer tethered to the player. Meaning when you rotate the gun rotates with you like it was welded to you. It moves independently so when you turn and move while aiming its not moving at the same rate you are etc.

Another neat perk i forgot to mention is last stand. If someone kills you, you fall to the ground but pull out your pistol and have about 10 seconds to shoot enemies around you before you actually die. Of course your enemy can keep shooting at you and end your last stand instantly. But its funny to see people shoot at you, see you fall, then stop shooting thinking you died and then you get the chance to avenge your own death.

best buy is also doing a midnight release. I pre-ordered mine from EBgames/Gamestop in xrds. I think i might cancel and go to best buy because from previous experience, Best Buy's line goes so much faster then EBgames

freaking A... I went to best buy and asked 2 fucking retards in the videogame section if they were doing a midnight release.. The first time I went the kid said he did not know. Then the second time I was in there the other kid said they weren't, they only did it for consoles. Assholes. KNOW YOUR ROLE!

I have mine reserved at crossroads eb/gamestop as well.. I'll stick to getting it there.

So did the sign at BB at Crossroads say anything? Like what time the line would start and what time they would be handing out stuff?

It just seems like BB at Crossroads sold a ton of pre-orders and there were 3 different versions, wonder how this will go, like one line for each or just multiple lines with each having the various versions?

I mean it's a midnight release, but I imagine the line will start at like 8-9, haha.
