I haven't seen it in a while but I always figured he eventually got inside somehow...is there reason to believe otherwise?

"Rumors began in July 2007 that Shia LaBeouf signed a contract to reprise his role of Mutt Williams, in a series of Indiana Jones sequels. MTV quickly got a denial from LucasFilm, although it turns out that IESB.net’s source probably wasn’t far off after all. It has now been revealed that George Lucas has an idea to make more Indy films with Mutt as the lead character."

I like Shia and I like Indy but hesitate to comment until seeing Crystal Skull

I will probably never watch another Indy movie again if Lebouff is the new Jones, I hate that kid. He is the complete opposite of the Jones character too.

A review on Fox News said the movie is a hit:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,356527,00.html

Quote :
"It's not the best movie of all time but "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is a thrilling, thoroughly enjoyable romp that should please even the most devout fans of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas' franchise.

...

So get the record books out. "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" lives up to the Spielberg/Lucas tradition particularly in parodying the great action reels of the 50s. Bravo!"

And evidently, there are real crystal skulls according to the Sci-Fi netwo...wait, shit.

^ CNN said the same thing.

I think it might turn out alright if you go in keeping in mind the campy elements of the first three.

I don't know why everyone's hating on Shia. Everyone thought Leonardo DiCaprio was a huge douche after Titanic, but now he's badass. And Shia isn't nearly as gay as DiCaprio was back then.

People hated in Dicaprio because he was the male lead in the biggest chick flick of all time. People hate on LeBouf because he's a bad actor.

Damn, are they still doing Indy specials on History channel? I wanna see that.

One of my buddys who's a GM at a theatre in Philly has already seen it. He is a fan of the original trilogy and says its good, but not as great as Raiders or Last Crusade.

I actually read up on them a bit on wikipedia and the crystal skulls, which were said to be of Ancient Mayan or Aztec origin, were infact dated to be from Europe in the 19th century, with one skull made in Germany around 1880.

^^I watched the special on them and the impression I got was one crackpot guy made up a story about having one and people started devoting their lives to trying to find them, even though they never actually existed.

OK, I'll shoot first...

Thought it was really entertaining... but more in a "The Mummy" way, not so much Indiana Jones way.
If you thought any of the other Indy films were a little too farfetched, this one takes the cake.

But I still thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope to see another one sooner or later.

Me and Moody were pretty surprised at the clip after the credits

Samuel L. Jackson is Indy's grandpa

The movie was too predictable and too far fetched...EVEN for an Indy film. I think they should have just hinted at some of the stuff rather than full on show some of the outlandish things.

*****for reals spoilers this time************************

George of the Jungle = lame
Close Encounters of the Third Kind = Even more lame
Surving Hiroshima....in a fridge.... really?

*******end spoiler************

I think this is easily my least favorite, but I still enjoyed it and hope they make another one. I mean, it could redeem itself

This movie ruined this series....it was not Indiana Jones. I think George Lucas has lost it and got drunk and mixed Star Wars with Indiana Jones on this one.

It is so bad it should not be sold with the other 3 as a collector's set.

Of course the nerds that looked like they were from Mars at the theater liked it.

[Edited on May 22, 2008 at 3:12 AM. Reason : ^I agree with all of that except I enjoyed it.....I didn't]

the first half of the film was better than the second half.... Ford and LeBeouf were awesome together. And they did a good job at making Ford not look old. I guess they kinda balanced each other out
