Backing up your own positions is probably a better strategy then just telling someone to play nice. Had they been dishonest attacks (from romney) then you might have something more to fuss about, but all he did was point out the obvious holes in huckabee's platform

yeah, his lack of preparation is pretty obvious in the recent weeks mishaps ...

I think people are starting to wake up to the many ways he is lacking ... but he will still keep many of the zealots he has converted over the past month .... his victory in Iowa will depend solely on how many of them he can keep fogged over for the remaining days.

I dont agree that using your own money to fund a campaign makes you "deserving to lose" ...

I think its what you stand for that determines what you deserve or dont deserve.

With that in mind, I dont think Mcain has come out as "deserving" of anything particularly, and just saying that he is the default best choice due to everyone else's shortcomings is a pretty rediculous way to decide on a nominee, especially when in doing so, you are ignoring that persons negatives as well.

I dont agree with Mcain on Immigration and taxes, and those are huge things to me. While a good patriot, I think hes lost it in terms of ability to move the country forward.

BUT -- it doesnt really matter ... Dems win in 08, unfortunately.

Nationally Hillary is about double(45%) than Obama, who is around 22%....Super Tuesday will seal it for her, and the latest polls has her ahead of both Obama and Edwards in Iowa(though barily) Forget about the college students AT HOME Obama....Edwards tried that way back when and it was predicted soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many would vote for him and it failed...they just dont vote in primaries and most are out of state and I seriously doubt they will come back to vote for Obama on their vacation.

Nutsmacker, I dont know what polls you are reading about nationally, but Hillary has a commanding lead nationally(having 45% at this stage most politicans would envy)...hell, GOP the three front runners are around 20% each nationally....if anything, this has grown lately, her lead nationally hasnt change very much for months.

Here is a Clue, National Polls don't mean shit. If Hillary loses Iowa, which I firmly believe she will, she'll not get the nomination. Furthermore, Obama is not relying upon college students to caucus. He is using college students as campaign workers. Plus, Edwards has gotten strong Union endorsements in a strongly unionized state. He learned the errors of '04 and is now going with the rural strategy. It takes much less people in Rural Iowa to get a precinct than it does the urban areas by a 2 to 1 margin.

edwards and obama have way less experience than clinton, and if repubs go with mccain, dems GOT to put up someone that is on his level...if clinton comes in 3rd that doesnt mean she is gone, she could still come in first in nh cause no one really knows where the independants will go...i'm pretty sure clinton was the comeback kid there in 92...huckabee versus edwards, huckabee versus obama, huckabee versus clinton, go with dems all the way...same with mormon guy...same with thompson guy....guillani guy may cause split within repub core...mccain is still fairly liked....i see it as mccain hillary cause mccain is the candidate i feel could pull the biggest repub vote against a dem in 08, and hil is the best candidate to go against him(edwards hasnt really dont shit...senate once, then runs in 2004....obama been in senate once...middle name hussein doesnt help...in conclusion i dont see how it can be anything but clinton/mccain

I am less than happy with my current impression of his fiscal policy, I haven't researched his position so I am not sure if I'm just a victim of spin though,

That said, I was disappointed in his answer about why he changed from a pastor to a politician... he said something along the lines of "helping people" on the Tonight Show with Leno, I would be much happier if he had said more about reducing the size of government. Of course his support of the fair tax is notable. But, it worries me he thinks that the role of the federal government is somehow to help people like a pastor does. Maybe its a good thing to say to communicate that you care to the common man, but we really need someone to champion self-reliance first.

There is some Rush/Huckabee rift I don't quite follow entirely... I heard about half of Rush's explanation about it. Reading between the lines I'd say Rush is not a fan of Huck, but as far as I can tell he doesn't particularly care for any of the rest of them either.
