i hope you're kidding.

sure we got some calls but they could have easily called another 15 fouls

refs were awful tonight, some of the worst ever. I had never ever seen a phantom double dribble call of all things. There should have been 50 fouls called on cincy. We finally had everything going well tonight.

The seasons over by the way.

umm the hot blonde one? looked college age or greater

and Cincinnati played a really rough, physical game, I think the refs were giving them a lot of freebies as it was. Several were ACC refs, I don't think they were trying to do us any favors at all. I can't remember how many times Javi got bumped, shoved, and knocked off balance by guys all up on him and never getting any calls for it.

Coach Lowe looked especially exhausted at the end of the game. Drenched in sweat with puffy, dull, bloodshot eyes. He didn't look well at all.

Anyone else notice this?

If Javi is our only other option, I'm very worried...let's all hope Johnson gets some PT and pans out to be a starting PG. At least Farnold could drive to the basket and score...that's huge. If your point gaurd can't take an iso every now and then that leaves your big men in a lot more trouble. Everyone knows Javi is no threat to even score, the man doesn't even look at the basket on offense.

thats misleading, i remember on one trap near the end of the game, he was being full court pressed and attempted to throw it to Costner and gave him a terrible pass, it bounced off costner but it was Grants fault

^^^ It's true, watching Farnold warm up he shot like eight threes in a row, and in the game he took advantage of the same look several times. The fact that he's as much a threat outside the arc as he is blazing in toward the basket makes him a lethal point guard.

On the other hand Javi won't drive, won't take any threes,(for good reason) and seems to favor standing still and passing the ball to dribbling and moving the ball any himself.

I'm fairly eager to see what Marques Johnson has to offer, but losing Degand would hurt pretty damn bad.

1. Yes, when you have an open drive to the basket. It tends to work much better than stoping to wait for the rest of their defense to catch up and get set.

2. Yes, when that's your preference because that's all you can do

The point is that just because they had enough fouls for 7 people to have fouled out doesn't mean that 7 people fouled out. They were more spread out with a lot of 4s.

That really sucks for Farnold. Sitting out for the better part of 3 years.

I was really starting to be impressed with Farnold. He's playing much more under control, he's shooting when he's open, and not turning the ball over much. I don't worry that he's going to dribble the ball off his leg or get stripped...I do worry that everyone else on our team is going to.

Considering Farnold hasn't played organized basketball in 2 years, i thought he had a lot of potential for this season, and the next 2. Now he'll be back to square one starting next season if he's lucky. This fucking blows.

where's the Seton Hall game thread at? their rivals board seems more active than their scout board. let's go start some trouble.

Seton Hall is not much better than Cincy but on the road and us without Degand worries me. Hopefully the team will play hard for him.

Johnson sucks guys let it go. There is no knight in shining armor to save us. He's had a year with the team and still doesn't get any minutes. You won't be able to find any good player who went 2 games with 0 minutes. Sure he can improve but right now he is not good enough to get minutes. Degand didn't sit out any games. If any decent acc caliber player transferred they would be in the game as soon as they could because we could have used another guard the last 2 games.

*I support our players but its realistic to say a guy sucks if he is beat out easily by Javi with no other guard on the team

You have no clue what you are talking about. Guy hasn't set foot on the court and you are writing him off. He was a top 100 recruit. Many liked him to play over Degand anyway.

^ She has a point. Seriously, if MJ was a stud he would have seen immediate minutes. However, I'm not gonna say he won't help our team at some point in the future. He won't be the quick fix everyone is looking for or else he would have already been playing the past 2 games.
