Triumph and Tragedy - The Ray Mancini story
It comes on ESPN Classic at 9:00 am tomorrow. I found this story interesting since the majority of the text in the NC State 1983 SI was inspired by this fight.

I just saw Sadermania and it was pretty good. It's about a Hulk Hogan superfan who ends up becoming close friends with his idol.

I just watched a docudrama called Zoo. It actually wasn't that good, but I read it won a lot of awards. It was about a case of bestiality in Washington state.

I really want to check this out, if for no other reason than some of my favorite bands are involved (as well as Hydra Head)
http://www.bloodsweatvinyl.com/Blood, Sweat + Vinyl "This captivating documentary is the product of five years of obsessive filming of live concert footage, exclusive interviews, and historic documentation focusing on three fiercely independent music labels and their bands.
Featuring Neurosis, ISIS, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Pelican, Oxbow, Evangelista, Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, Cave In, and many others whose music and art found ideal homes in the artist-run record labels of Hydra Head, Neurot, and Constellation.
These labels combine hard-to-define, heavy music with a visual aesthetic that has enraptured worldwide fans, without the need for radio or corporate media outlets. They uphold the legacy of treating music as an art form, not as a product.
This film is an answer to those who question where the spirit of punk rock is today.
Over 20 bands and visual artists. 3 record labels. 1 philosophy." 10/25/2011 2:41:03 AM |

At 10pm tonight they are going to show "Game of Honor" on Showtime. CBS spent time on the campus of the USMA and the campus of USNA in the lead up to the 2011 Army/Navy Game. They show what the players at those schools go through since they have to go to football practice, study, and do military training. The preview on CBS last month was pretty good. 12/21/2011 8:53:00 PM |

PBS is showing Steve James' new documentary The Interrupters tonight at 9, he directed Hoop Dreams as well as some other tremendous documentaries.
Quote : | "The Interrupters tells the moving and surprising stories of three Violence Interrupters who try to protect their Chicago communities from the violence they once employed. The film's main subjects work for an innovative organization, CeaseFire, which believes that the spread of violence mimics the spread of infectious diseases, and so the treatment should be similar: go after the most infected" |
