"The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Phillies 2B Chase Utley apologized for an expletive he said while miked for audio during the introductions of the 2008 Home Run Derby. When he was announced, he was booed and said "Boo?" followed by an expletive heard on ESPN's broadcast. "I do want to apologize," Utley said. "It was definitely a poor choice of words. I really didn't mean anything by it. I was just kind of joking around with my buddy over there. So, I do want to apologize.""

the game would have been more fun if it was an exhibition again. I fail to see how playing all these team all-stars extra innings, which for teams like Baltimore and the Brewers need theirs more than others, helps the game.

the whole time I felt like I was watching another high drama baseball game when really I have been led to believe the All-Star game was supposed to be fun like it was in the 1990s with Kruk, and Cal, and Randy Johnson.

instead we got 15 innings of who gives a crap baseball that nobody but diehard fans watched after 10pm. and everyone inside of NYC turned it off after the 10th.

i thought there were a few plays last night that proved to me that the players really were busting their ass and it was entertaining because of that.

Actually, I didn't turn the game on till 11pm. Had something else going on last night. So I was pretty happy to still catch 7 innings

wonder what the Red Sox in general thought about sitting in the home dugout
