It's definitely more a coffee than a beer, haha

I love both coffee and beer. So it's almost perfect. Got a little obsessed with Great Divide's Espresso Imperial Stout last year...this one is better.

you guys should try alesmith's speedway stout, if you can find it

though at 12% abv it's most definitely beer and not coffee

yeah, it's only sold in 750ml bottles -- delicious (and strong!), makes a great beer float too

You can definitely put me in the group that thinks New Belgium beers are overrated, but got a couple of their "2 Belows" sample beers at my bar last night...and I'll have say, they were pretty tasty.

Bout to crack open my Depth Charge growler and have some dinner and watch a movie with a lady friend tonight. Alcohol and caffeine...top combo for foolin' around FTW!!

I, too, have heard that 2 Below is a good beer.

I hope they bring it to this market.

I was real close to drinking a beer after work today but then I thought I would feel like an alcoholic drinking a beer at 3:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday :-\

Probably the best beer I've had in a few months...Peace Street Market and College Beverage both have it

Tried some Abita Pecan ale last week, one of their seasonals. So far I've only seen it at Whole Foods. It's good--not a super-strong pecan flavor, pretty subtle actually, but it's a tasty beer on its own merit and the pecan adds an interesting dimension.

I feel like I've largely missed the Oktoberfests this year, which is rather sad as I quite like them.

Had many Bell's Porters last night at the bar. I love Porters and Stouts, but often they are so heavy that you can only have a couple. But the Bell's Porter was very light and delicious...and I had many.

same here...love porters. Just not the baltic porter by DR.

I need to start going to the peace street market again. Don't they usually have good deals on "seasonal" beers that are going out of season? I just remember getting a 12 pack of some pumpkin ale for busch light prices.

Bought some at the HT at Tryon/Walnut. Pretty good beer I thought.

On tap at Tobacco Road. I enjoy it, a lot.

i had a brooklyn brown - which i used to enjoy very much - tonight from a bottle and it wasn't nearly as good as i remembered.

i'm pretty sure i've only ever had it on draft before tonight though. maybe that's the difference. either way, i was disappointed.

had my first Terrapin Hopsecutioner last night, and it was excellent...probably one of the best IPAs available in these parts:

Also had a Left Hand Fade to Black, which is a tasty beer with really cool label art:

The ONLY place you should shop for beer in Asheville is Bruisin Ales (http://www.bruisin-ales.com/). They definitely have the Terrapin Hopsecutioner also.
