^^ Yeah, I liked the firm... but my favorite general genre for movies are Thrillers...

I'm addicted to Instant Watch right now. About to start The International.

^ i watched it a few weeks ago. I thought it was good, but it lacked something. I don't really know what that was, so my argument isn't great, but i just remember thinking after i watched it that it could be been better

^ Nah I feel ya. Honestly, I think it didn't have a point, or a moral, or message. It was a bio documentary showing who this person was. He didn't necessarily change or develop. You should he maybe had with the apple orchard, but he really didnt.

I'm watching "The Heart is a Drum Machine" now. It's interesting.

^^ I was curious about Grace. It seemed like my kind of movie, but it didn't get terribly good reviews. Is it a decent enough thriller/horror, or is it just campy and stupid?

Anyone else's Netflix video been lagging slightly behind the audio? I've been watching Dexter and there's this video lag that keeps changing, and won't go away.

early 90s legal dramas

the firm, the fugitive, a few good men (can't remember if that was on there), and there are a BUNCH of others from like 89 - 95 that are pretty decent. most people have already seen them though, but i haven't so i'm trying to work my way through

it was pretty good. nothing ground-breaking, but entertaining.

^5 and yes, my Netflix has been shit since about 5pm tonight. it keeps lagging and "retrieving" data.

Up is available now. I started watching it tonight, but turned it off after I got choked up for the third time.

Last night I watched a documentary call Urban Explorers, which oddly enough is about urban exploring. It was okay, but not as good as it could have been.

Just watched a Japanese film called Departures. Great movie, but somewhat of a tearjerker.

Even in Japanese, this was pretty noticable tonight.

Confessions of a Superhero - LOVED it, not sure why though, it's a documentary about people who stand across from the chinese theater dressed like superheroes

If you enjoy awesomely bad horror/thriller/indie movies -
Teeth
Beware Children at Play - The final battle scene makes all the terrible acting almost worth it.

If you never want to have sex again -
AntiChrist - You get to see Willem Dafoe's penis...

[Edited on May 31, 2010 at 1:36 AM. Reason : That, however, is not the reason you may not want to have sex after this movie]

Hmm. It says The Office, 30 Rock and Arrested Development are similar so this might be good since I like two of those three immensely... but I'm in movie mode right now.

I watched both seasons of Party Down this past weekend.

Fucking loved it. Warning...don't judge based on the first episode. It's a little slow because it had to introduce the characters and it's probably the least funny of all the episodes.

Instant Watch on Netflix is pretty much only good for watching TV seasons and independent films/documentaries. I've always disappointed in the quality of "regular" movies they have. But I guess that's what the "delivery" part of Netflix is for...which I rarely use.

^First episode is really weak.

I definitely feel like it just builds and builds. After first couple episodes I was like, "meh, this is alright and I have nothing else to do."

By the end of the first season, I hated that I had to go to sleep. I finished the 2nd season the next day and now I'm pissed that it probably won't get picked up for a 3rd. It doesn't hurt that I'm in love with Lizzy Caplan...and Kristen Bell, even though she's only in it for one episode each season.

"Remember the Daze"

the description leads you to believe its a typical american pie teenage movie with some raunchy stuff. it's actually one of the funniest movies i think i've ever seen. also great soundtrack.

apparently im also one of the first people to watch it because it has NO rating on rottentomatoes and not much to go on from imdb
