And I'm finally starting mine....well I'm about a week in and it's pretty much halfway there. My facial hair grows so damn fast. Was going to shave earlier this week, but this cold weather kept me from doing it.

bttt, winter is nearing the end. I haven't been clean shaven since probably september, but didn't grow the big wooly beard I usually do in the winter. instead i've kept it consistent around a 3 guard on my trimmer. But I may participate in March Stashness and let it go all month and then rock a big mustache on the final days of March. anyone care to join me?

What kind of beard balm or lotion do you guys use? Whenever I grow mine out I have skin issues and it has deterred me from growing a beard for a number of years now. I want to try again and do it better from the start.

^ I get dry skin issues under my beard and have used Denorex (hardcore dandruff shampoo) with some success before.

Sweating a lot and not taking super hot showers also seemed to help.
