I had to work that show last night. Did anyone see the guy with the thorn of crowns wearing nothing but a fishnet man-thong? I ended up seeing him twice throughout the night, and both times I just turned the fuck around. So many tranny's, too. I swear, San Francisco came to Raleigh for a night.

Also, when pokerface came on, all I could think of was this, so I started cracking up:

^ aha I haven't seen that one before.

I didn't see the guy with the thorns, but did you check out the opening act's lead singer get naked on stage when he changed?

I saw the guy with the thorns. At the end of the show we was wearing nothing but the thorns on his head and a man thong. People were taking pictures with him after the show lol.

^^I didn't get to catch any of the opening act, but what you said doesn't surprise me at all.

^He wasn't just wearing that at the end of the show, he literally walked in the door that way. I was telling a co-worker about it, and her immediate response "they let him IN?".

Despite all of the freaks (and the soccer moms wearing spandex and leather ), it was actually a pretty fun show to work.

Is it just me or does anyone else this it is absolutely ridiculous to bring a SIX YEAR OLD to a Lady Gaga show courtesy of her stripper looking mom?

Parenting fail.

Yeah, people should know by now that Gag's tour is not necessarily kid proof.

Oh yeah, I forgot that both Joni Pitkanen and Jussi Jokinen were there.

Of course I don't think that there are too many crossover fans of Gaga and hockey...

it swaps the house beats with breakbeats and is therefore made of win

She has recently called on Senators to end the filibuster of the measure to lead to the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and IMO it's not based on self-interest because although she is bisexual I don't see her wanting to enlist anyway...

I actually love it.... Eric described it as the "new big gay anthem"

Some are comparing it to "Express Yourself" by Madonna... yeahhhh definitely very similar

But I love both, so oh well

^^^^I agree; in that respect it's kinda like "Firework": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGJuMBdaqIw

Also it does sound like she stole the melody from Madonna; then again Madonna had stolen that song title from N.W.A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u31FO_4d9TY

this is what you get when you self-proclaim your album was going to be the best of the decade (which was lol-worthy already). This song is by far the worst of her singles so far and definitely sounds like the Madonna song.

Also, if you're going to say Madonna "stole" a generic song title from someone, you should at least acknowledge that they "stole" the song title from Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band in the first place.

that's different, N.W.A based their song around a sample of the older one

I definitely know that. My point was that it's a song title, and a simple one at that. I wouldn't say it was "stealing." Certainly not anymore stealing than sampling someone elses song.

I mean, I'm not saying Gaga totally stole Madonna's song or anything, but it is a bit more "who cares" when someone uses the same song title with something as simple as the phrase "express yourself" vs actually using music extremely similar to someone else, especially when it isn't an upfront noted sample or anything.

I guess I just get extremely annoyed with her. It really doesn't have to do with her music directly. She is head and shoulders better than a lot of other mainstream pop artists. No doubt from me there (though I can't stand most mainstream pop regardless). However, she gets compared against a lot of lackluster competition in her "peers". For her to go around stating herself that she is delivering the "album of the decade" and she has one of "the best voices in the industry" and that she considers herself "to be one of the greatest songwriters"...it's just absolutely hilarious and I really hope she doesn't believe that. (unless of course she is just comparing herself to britney spears. ke$ha, christina aguilera etc. to which she is right but at that point who cares?)

I honestly couldn't follow much of ^^ that link

http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/born-this-wayexpress-yourself-mashup

Yeah I can see how parts are definitely similar, but other parts don't match up well at all and sound like a jumbled mess

Anyway, I like them both. And I've had this song stuck in my head all weekend - new happy song

I can get behind most Gaga singles but this new one is pretty bad

Alejandro was catchy but a complete rip-off of Don't Turn Around

she was getting a little chubby (for her at least) around the end of her last tour. She was looking pretty fit and trim at the grammy's.

new song is meh compared to the last two albums.

'She's in an embryonic state and won't be born until the performance,' explained one of her assistant to Seacrest."

She is definitely 'channeling' Madonna, her outfit for the performance is very similar to Madonna back in the day.

Also, while i've never watched the grammy's before or listened to GaGa, I found her performance excellent and thought the song had a very good message.

if i hadn't known the "born this way" was gaga, i'd have sworn it was a previously-unknown madonna track from the 90s

I don't think she's been "channeling" Madonna at all. She's a blonde pop artist who dresses crazy and provocative...that's it. Same "style" as Madonna...but no "channeling".

But if that's what you think, then she's been channeling her since she started. Only difference now is that this recent song sounds like an old Madonna song.

Oh...and her body looked great last night. I'd definitely fuck Gaga.

I guess channeling was a bad word choice. She is definitely very unique and provocative with her own artistic style, which people have thought similar to some aspects of Madonna in her prime. I saw it more as a homage to Madonna for this performance based on her stage costume and similar song.

the more I listen to it, the more I love this song more (and see differences between it and Express Yourself)

she also broke a record with it - highest debuting song on the Billboard Hot 100 or something like that
