Yeah, his S is really clean.

Mine isn't ratty, but it's not nearly as nice as his...on the other hand, it's cheap enough to be a dedicated toy, with something else as a DD.

Budget: Unknown, flexible. There is no way in the world I'd spend more than $50k. Mid $20s/$30k range is probably my comfort zone. I <3 the e36 M3, sort of feel that I should own an e46 M3 but think they're extremely ///MEH.

Ideas? 996tt may or may not happen. I'd much rather a GT3, but I don't want to stretch for it, I have other things that are taking $$$.

they are extremely cool and all, but they're the second most over valued car...next to the e30 m3. maybe if the csl were a sedan.

That they are. A car I could only own if money was truly no object. I mean who wouldn't want an e36 M3 CSL, but how in the world would you justify $40k+ for an e36 M3 that's not that different than a $14k example?
