try the gypsy shiny diner on buck jones, they make a damn good milkshake, and its the closest thing to a real diner you can find around here.

At one point I thought she might have been dead...

She was supposed to road trip with me up north so I wouldn't have to make the drive alone since her mom lives near where I was heading, I even bought her a one-way plane ticket back. That morning I showed up at the house and she was no where to be found. I thought maybe she slept in so I annoyingly rang the doorbell to wake her up, but her roommate came downstairs, said she wasn't there and if I didn't leave she was going to call the cops on me.

I didn't hear from her for almost 3 weeks until she finally texted me and told me what was up. Didn't even offer to pay me back for the plane ticket that was wasted on her (~$100...it was worth it to have a travel companion who would pay half the gas, instead I was out on the ticket and had to pay for all the gas). I have a suspicion she was actually there that morning and didn't have the decency to come out and tell me herself she wasn't coming with me. I had even seen her at the bar the night previous making out with her then ex-boyfriend who is now the babydaddy.

I was really worried that something bad had happened and that she was missing, seriously scared the shit out of me. Then when I heard from her I was really relieved that she was ok. Then I was generally pissed off that she made me worry like that and I got screwed $100 + gas money.
