^^^^Kaplan actually hasn't been too bad lately, but then again I go when it usually isn't too crowded... when do you usually try to play

^^lol, yes there are plenty of players out there that smoke pot, but even more that don't... I could make the same joke about fishing and drinking beer (I personally don't smoke pot, but I do drink when I fish 75% of the time )


^where is that (state/city) - I always try to play a course when I go somewhere new... still pissed I passed on going to play that badass course in Charleston

Shawnee - nice course but holy crap is it LONG. Only 1 or 2 holes under 400 feet and several over 500. And still a par 3. Eesh.

^^nah- hole 15... threw my san marino roc on a nice real tight S curve down the gut, and it banged chains and stuck


Had one pop out at kaplan today, but that is becoming a weekly occurence there. I have popped chains on 1 3 times in the last 2 weeks, and todays was on 16 (in and out)


I am just hating my inconsistency, and I feel like I really need to work on my flick to give myself any chance at some real tournys.


Speaking of which, when is the scary tee's tourny this year? And is there any info on monthlys anymore? do they happen anymore? the most recent info I've found is from 09

as the second biggest state (and area in the entire world) for disc golf, I would think things would only get better. I wish there were something I could do, but I don't know any of the guys that do anything anymore. tis' a shame

I should say that i'm a fan of parts of NJ

B/c I always have a good time when I go up there to visit family.

They live in Mendum or something like that, but when I flew into laguardia and road a train to their place, I just saw all the small townships along the way that looked nice. I think it would be cool to live in one of those towns and be able to take the train into NYC...I think all those small towns were very wealthy though, so maybe I'd only like it if I lived in one of those rich towns :/

Plus, there is some nice country side and you can bring your own booze to restaurants!!

It was a pretty short course, lots of water. Had a cool floating bridge which was questionable but enjoyable to cross.

The only other private course I've played is Sunshine Acres off 64 somewhere, that was pretty decent.

Doubles tournaments start this week....

In Raleigh, we have Cedar Hills on Tuesday (tonight), Middle Creek on Thursdays, and Kentwood (the one on Kaplan) on Fridays. These are great things for new comers to the sport to get involved in as they are pro-am random pairing (meaning you have an excellent chance of getting paired with someone better than yourself), they are cheap, good payout (in plastic), and a good way to be outside and enjoy yourself

I'll be at Cedar tonight, and all of these have registration starting b/w 5 and 5:30 and ending at 6, and as far as I know, they are all still 5 bucks to play (and that includes your ace pool dollar)

just started playing this last week. since my ankle is kinda fucked and I still can't run or play basketball I've started going out to Kentwood just so I can get outside. I really suck (best I've shot so far is +1) but it's a lot of fun. not sure why I waited until now to play.
