I'm glad to see someone finally making the SPAS-12 shotgun semiauto. That gun is only a pump if you're shooting half-load shells.

Anyone have recommendations for renting a dedicated server? I've got 7 or 8 people I play MW2 regularly with on the PC who are all wanting to pitch in with me and rent a nice dedicated server to host Black Ops.

I cashed in my xbox copy of MW2 long ago, kept my PS3 copy just in case I got bored...if this game blows (which being it's treyarch I'm thinking it will) I guess I will be done with the CoD franchise.

I dont like how the kill streaks no longer count towards kill streaks. I'm not a super great player like some of the TWW'ers cough*shadow*cough...so I counted on my kill streaks helping me. Ehhhh maybe the concept will make me a better player.

Anyway looking forward to mounting up with you guys again on Tuesday.

I rarely get kill streaks longer than 3, so it doesn't really effect me. But I am against kill streak reward kills counting toward your kill streak.

It doesn't help bad players.
It makes average players seem great.
It makes great players unfair.

Finally had a chance to play through some of the single player last night..



SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN't PLAYED YET




Played for awhile, enthused, on Hardened (3/4 difficulty)

After awhile, i got to this Vietnam mission where you fight back NVH. The NVH are never-ending. It sorta reminded me of the mission in the new MOH where you are in that crumbling building. The NVH keep running at you, always to the same 5-8 spots, have the same actions, say the same things, ect. The goals of the mission are not very clear as to what you are supposed to be doing (running towards them, through their line, and to the right). Once you run through their line they all suddenly stop shooting you and you get a new objective. Anyways, I played for at least 30 minutes on this mission and had a pile of bodies that started getting in the way of the cover the enemy was using.. IT is ridiculous. Unless you move up, which is damn near impossible on hardened, and there are no nearby checkpoints, the NVH just keep coming infinitely. This mission Lost the game for me.


In other news, all the multiplayer maps and guns and such look awesome. Im sure everyone already knows everything, but heres what i got that was cool:

lots of awesome killstreak rewards.. Mortars, exploding RC car

Some cool weapons. for your exploding grenade slot, you can choose : Frag grenade, Sticky Grenade, or "tomahawk" which is a hatchet you throw like a indian (feather kind)

Instead of a pistol you can choose to have a Crossbow, a ballistic knife (shoots the blade pretty far and quickly actually), or a RPG/other exploding anti-vehicle weapon.

some other perks are cool.. A perk lets you pick where you respawn

can pick the reticule on your scope

can have a scope and a silencer with a perk

There is a special SPAS12 you get in a mission called "dragons Breath" which shoots fucking exploding or fireball shotgun shells.. people explode into flames

in one mission you get a MINI GUN called "death machine"


anyways, game is pretty cool, but i can tell its not infinity wards work. I liked MW and MW2 better so far.. This game is definitely a step or 2 backwards toward WAW
