it's the same color, but the thread used for the embroidery around the border of the numbers has a sheen to it so it's reflecting some of the light. the numbers are most likely the same or similar material as the jersey so even if they can match the reds using the same dyes, it can still appear different when taking a picture because or how different fibers will react to light.
