Against a team whose next tallest player is a 6'8''? And next tallest after that is 6'5''? Yes.

I still think we should be playing him over Painter in most situations (just not in Sid's schemes). People greatly over exaggerate his shortcomings, and greatly under exaggerate Painter's. Painter is just a more coordinated JV.

The problem with that stupid plan is exactly what Delaware did to us:

Our big guys don't have the agility of the short dudes playing for Delaware St. As a result, the get lured outside by their man, their man smokes them towards the basket, then

1. easy layup because you just got beat, or

2. someone pulls off a perimeter guy to defend the basket, ball gets tossed out, no one is there to cover down, swish easy open 3

Did Lowe tear into CJ at all for that? From the feed I didn't see him really act like he cared. That kind of shit should get you chewed out and suspended for a game or two. Bob Knight would have thrown a chair at CJ or something

They shot 40% from 3 vs. us, 20% vs. Clemson

Our 3pt defense is slightly better than Clemson's

They got to the free-throw line 15 times vs. us, 4 times vs. Clemson

Best I can tell, we allow basically the same # of opponent FTA per game as Clemson

They also shot better from the field overall against us, and our opponent FG% is also better than Clemson's

We didn't play a good game, but anyone watching could easily see that Delaware St. was playing pretty good basketball

Now's where you somehow blame that entirely on one person

Remember also that all of our season statistics are derived from a significantly tougher schedule meaning our numbers against a similar level of competition would be better.
