Can someone explain to me what phone aaronburro thinks is categorically better than an iPhone?
I just sold mine, switched to Windows Phone 7, and I am loving life.
But even with that, the iPhone 3G and 3GS were both fucking AMAZING phones that had a ton of problems, but overall changed the way I function in daily life. 3/23/2011 10:21:37 PM |

how are you liking the Windows Phone Noen? I switched from many years of Blackberries to a Droid a couple months ago and like that, but am intrigued by some of the multimedia capabilities of the Windows Phone

^x5 the mobile version of Google maps on iPhone is probably the most underated app ever.
Its the best app to find anything local, I use it like Yellow pages. 3/23/2011 11:40:39 PM |

Google maps on the iPhone is pretty garbage as soon as you've tried it on any Android phone.

So far it's pretty nice. Don't really like the form factor (its the HTC Arrive on sprint, so it was my only option). But the WP7 interface is really fucking nice and smooth.
So far the Zune client is pretty nice, I have the zune subscription so it's about 1000x more useful to me than iTunes was. We still cant figure out how to get music on to my fiance's EVO 4G. On the Windows phone, just one tap to download and you're listening to it. Netflix works great, the browser is basically the same as Safari on the iPhone although it definitely renders differently.
Battery life is MUCH better for me than the iPhone, but I know that's got a lot to do with my usage. I like the email app a little better, but its not head and shoulders better than the iphone.3/24/2011 2:51:49 AM |
