No but I know a lot of the people that work over there because of my work. It's really no different/more than drama they have in their other dorms. Hell, Middlebury College has had a coed dorm since the 80s and hasn't had much in the way of drama either.

1.) mixed-gender ROOMS (ie. one room with one male and one female roommate),
2.) mixed-gender DORMS (ie. rooms on the same hall can have male/male or female/female), or
3.) mixed-gender APARTMENTS (ie. multiple rooms, both and male and female tenants with their own space)?

i won't claim to know anything about duke, but this implies that duke does #2 and #3, but not #1 (which, if i'm not mistaken, UNC is doing):

Living with my then boyfriend (now husband) over a summer session was actually good practice for living together later on. We went on to room together for full semesters and then get an apartment together off campus. And we were both 19 at the time of that summer session. I imagine it's different for everyone, and we'd already been dating for a while, and the summer session is short enough not to be a huge commitment at first, but it worked well for us.
