How can you definitively show Gus being gay without detracting from the plot? I mean don't get me wrong, I have zero issues with a gay character, but for them to be out of character or do something unrealistic just to show they're gay is dumb. I mean did you want him to be holding hands with the cook who got shot? Unprofessional. Did you want to see Walt spying on him and his boyfriend? More believable, but still I like Gus being more mysterious. 9/12/2011 4:46:05 PM |

No, I have no problem with how it was handled on the show. It's not like I needed to see them making out before their meeting.
I'm taking about when directly asked about it, Gilligan didn't want to answer and said people can take it however they want. And I just feel like that happens a lot with shows and movies lately. There's nothing wrong with being explicit. He's not always guilty of what I'm accusing though, I do remember him flat out saying there was no cliffhanger when Jesse shot Gale.
Again, it's a small detail and I couldn't care less if he was gay or not. I guess I'll stop talking about it so people don't think I'm pissed off every episode they don't confirm he's a homosexual. 9/12/2011 4:49:16 PM |

I wonder if they spend as much time figuring out what to feed Walt Jr. for breakfast. It's my personal interpretation that he likes cereal the best. 9/12/2011 4:55:43 PM |

wonder what will come of Walt calling Jr. "Jesse" in his groggy state of mind
and I assume the cessna-esque plane pilot was Cartel (so how do they leave Mexico now), but I doubt Gus/Mike wouldn't have thought of an escape plan

I think Mad Men is the best show on television, juuuust slightly. Breaking Bad is a very, very close #2. And Boardwalk Empire is a close #3 IMO, although that last one is probably more debatable.
Anyone think Gus and/or Mike are gonna die? I thought it was very interesting how perfect of an opportunity Jesse had to kill them and/or let them die, and he STILL didn't, and in fact seems to be trying to save their lives.

they are proud of him why would he kill them. when they half smiled as he was taking control of the cooking situation from that dick chemist my heart fluttered.
mad men is too douchey imo. you can write subtextual dialog, we get it. 9/19/2011 2:17:09 PM |

Jesse's dog-like loyalty is what Gus loves. now, after he saved Gus and Mike outside the house, i would think his life and future are safe with Gus for a while.
The scene with Jesse yelling at the chemist was fantastic. 9/19/2011 6:49:37 PM |

^Ha, I actually kind of liked the randomness of Ted's death. Fit in with the episode, since everything is spiralling completely out of Walt's control. That last Hitchcock-esque shot of Walt was pretty damn amazing and memorable. 9/26/2011 6:18:55 AM |

^^Yeah, I thought it was unclear at first, too. Then I read Sepinwall and he alluded to Ted's death, so I assumed I was just reading that part of the episode wrong. But, you're right, they never came out and SAID that he died; could just have a broken neck or something. 9/26/2011 7:50:12 AM |
