i've said this before but i consider myself a solid 5 and i'm perfectly okay with that...

i don't consider it as insult and here are the reasons why:

1) in any given location i can honestly say that probably half the women there are more attractive than me...but there are also an equal amount who are less attractive than me...

2) it's been said that you can date from 2-3 ranks higher/lower in attractiveness level...that means i may end up with a 2 on occasion, but i'm also just as likely to end up with an 8...if i started out as an 8-9, my dating pool would be MUCH smaller...

3) i'm very average, and that's ok. other than my teeth, i have no really outstanding features...but i can dress up and people think "wow...you look really nice" but if i'm not dressed up they don't really think "damn...you look like shit today"

i'd say almost the same for myself. except when i'm at work i might actually appear to be a 7 when compared to my surroundings, because i mean.... damn... i'm just saying.

also, when i don't dress up, which is most of the time, i really can look like absolute shit depending on how much sleep i've had and my mood. so maybe i'm more of a 4 or 4.5 in general.

You're forgetting about all the women who are equally as attractive as you. Its probably more like you are more attractive than 20% of people but also only less than 20%

Your pull wouldn't be smaller. The rule of 2 - 3 only applies because it assumes a person that much above you wouldn't want you, nor would you want a person that much below you. But, if you were a 9, you COULD have anyone you wanted, if you so chose. Now, maybe not. So your pull is actually less now.

Overall, though, I'd give you a 6.5. It asymptotically approaches a 7 due to some of your other outstanding attributes

^^Are you saying that the rating scale is relevant to the collective females in your vicinity? I can understand ranking them up to best in show, but the rating scale is absolute and does not take into account the surrounding women.

As such, rating yourself as a simply 5 due to the surrounding women is not entirely a fair scale. Each woman is taken to be an individual specimen and rated as such. While it could be assumed that a normal distribution of hotness will result in half a given population being better than a 5 and half being less, this isn't always the case.

The only time that surrounding women, or rather, opinion, is in grading a woman to be a 10. This requires a 2/3rds majority decision of surrounding guys. In this case, the woman may be compared to other high-value targets to note an overall superior quality necessary to achieve the top rating.

I wouldn't really know what "number" I am. I think it would depend on who you ask? I think I'm "fuckable" so I guess I am a 1 in the binary system. I've never really been turned down by a guy, but I don't have a space between my thighs and never will. I do have a nice round ass though. I'd guess I'm a 6 unless the guy really likes skinny girls. I've always aimed for my personality to be the prettiest thing about me. It's a lot cheaper that way.
