I have the 2nd pick in my money league draft tomorrow night. In the league TD passes are worth 6 pts, so would you take a chance on Vick or just stick with Foster?

If passing tds are worth six Aaron Rodgers would be #1 on my list

how many teams in the league?

I'd take a Romo/Rivers/Schaub and Foster combo over a Rogers and Gore combo

Rodgers over Vick or any of the big 4 rbs since pass tds are 6 pts too?

Its a 12 team league

I'm very skeptical of Peyton this year...guy in my league who had already drafted Brees picked up Manning, hoping he would be good trade bait later in the season...I wouldn't take him at 31...speaking of Peytons, I'm not really sold on Hillis this year...I had him last year and he was great, but he had zero touchdowns the last 5 weeks of the season

^I'd take ADP/Foster then try to get a Rivers or Brady later in the draft

I know Brady will be gone by the time I pick, as the guy picking 12th and 13th loves him. I mean I could hold out that someone doesn't take Manning (due to him being injured), or that Rivers slips, but I have a feeling, Rodgers, Vick, Brees, Rivers, Brady, and Manning will all be gone early.

in a 6pts for passing tds league, which is better Vick or Rodgers/Forte or Jackson combo better than say Foster/Big Ben or Freeman?

Doing a 10-team draft standard scoring.. picking from the 2nd position:

So far:

Qb: Peyton Manning
Rb: Adrian Peterson
Rb: Steven Jackson
Rb/Wr: Ahmad Bradshaw
Wr: Hakeem Nicks
Wr: Steve Johnson
Te: Jermichael Finley

ok I think I have talked myself into sticking with a RB with the #2 pick in my league (6 pts for passing tds) and hoping a decent QB falls.

So with that being said, is anyone wary of Foster having a letdown this year? Who do you take #2, Charles, Foster, Rice?

Ppr? And i think you are making the right decision... personally, I don't think foster wil be a problem, as long as he stays healthy. But if you are worried, I'm torn between charles and rice

No ppr, I am just worried that losing their FB to the Ravens is going to have an effect on Foster.

Draft is tonight at 8:30 pm ....leaning towards Foster at the moment. Going to hope that a decent QB falls, just think that a top RB will be harder to find than a QB that gets me week to week.

man, I'm torn. Rodgers and Vick are projected to get 500 points this year, Foster/Peterson are around 275

yea I know, in my league (CBS Sports) Vick and Rodgers are 366 pts while Foster is only like 242. This is where it gets confusing...the 12-15th RBs are projected for like 160-175 pts, while the 10th-12th QB is projected for around 280 pts. So do I go with Vick and hope he stays healthy and pair him with Blount or hope Forte falls? Or do you go Foster, and pick up like Josh Freeman or Big Ben?

I'm going to create a free league on Yahoo that drafts tomorrow night. High scoring. 2pt per reception, along with some other Metro rules.

Anyone interested.

I'm game for a high scoring league.

If that is indeed what you are going for, what about .5 pts per completion

What if set up where you want a shitty team defense?

example

int: -2pt
allow 400 total yards: +5pts

Official league rules (so far)

No kickers.

You are rewarded for shitty team defense.

1pt per 5 return yds

.5 per completion

.2 per rush attempt

2pts per reception

14 team hardcore league, 2 keepers

Keepers:
P. Rivers - QB
A. Peterson - RB

Greg Jennings - WR
Dez Bryant - WR
Julio Jones - WR
Jahvid Best - RB
Dustin Keller - TE
Neil Rackers - K
New Orleans - Def

Bench:
Mark Ingram - RB
Robert Meachem - WR
Greg Little - WR
DeMarco Murray - RB
Jacoby Jones - WR
Atlanta - Def

Love my WR and RBs, but definitely more rookie heavy than I normally do, but the picks/spots just kept matching up

Passing TDs are worth 6 points, and every other top QB was already off the board. I was VERY close to taking Rodgers with the 2nd pick in the draft, if Adrian Peterson would've gone #1 instead of falling to me at #2 then I probably wouldve.

what about ½ point per pass attempt

is there a setting to get more points for longer pass completions/rushes

I've seen leagues that do -.25 for attempts, and .5 for completions (so it is really -.25 for incomplete, and .25 for completions); also seen bonuses for rush/pass/receiving plateaus (ie: over 100 rushing yards will get you an extra 5 pts, etc)

Yeah, you get a bonus for 40+ yard plays.

Need one more team.

Draft is tentatively set up for 7:45 tonight.

All the owners are tww'rs but one.

I'd join, but I am not a fan of no money leagues, and I'd lose interest and not be worth anything

I just did a draft for our wonky keeper league:

QB: Tom Brady
RB: Michael Turner
RB: Frank Gore
WR: Percy Harvin
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Brandon Marshall
TE: Dallas Clark
Def: Philly
K: Sebastian Janikowski (got him in the last round after 5 other kickers were picked... surprised me)

BN: Marshawn Lynch
BN: Tim Hightower
BN: Mark Sanchez
BN: Mike Thomas (jac)
BN: Michael Crabtree
BN: Robert Meachem
BR: James Starks

I wasn't happy cause V. Jax was my only keeper, but I feel like I came out alright

I'm a 2nd year FF n00b which is more obvious since I picked a whole lot of Indy WRs without realizing it , but otherwise it was a good draft!

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Knowshon Moreno (keeper)
RB: Darren McFadden (keeper)
WR: Austin Collie (keeper)
WR: Greg Jennings
WR: Reggie Wayne
TE: Jason Witten
DEF: Green Bay
K: Garrett Hartley

BN: Santana Moss
BN: Mark Ingram

just finished the draft in my 14 team keeper league. you can keep 0-4 players each year.

Starters
QB Drew Brees (keeper)
RB Rashard Mendenhall (keeper)
RB Jonathan Stewart
WR Calvin Johnson (keeper)
WR Mike Wallace (keeper)
WR Kenny Britt
DST Jets
K Nick Folk

Reserves
RB Ryan Grant
RB James Starks
WR Robert Meachem
WR Jordy Nelson
WR Antonio Brown
QB Donovan McNabb

Probably starting Grant over Stewart in week 1 though, possibly longer once I see how those situations play out.
