God. Just pulled into the Chili's parking lot in Cary to watch the game. Already seeing soccer moms with frickin Spain flags on their mini-vans pulling into the parking lot. Now that I'm inside I'd say only me and one other dude are pulling for the US. 20 or so Americans pulling for Spain. Hate him all you want, but face was right.

the thing is, because of US dominance specifically in 1992, and our country sending coaches around the world to teach the intricacies of the game to other countries, basketball has grown exponentially on a global scale...they're not gonna get rid of an Olympic sport when its worldwide popularity is at an all time high
