Tom Coughlin and the NY GIANTS whining about Tampa Bay coming at them when they were in victory formation.

There's still time on the clock and the game is not over. Most of the analysts siding with Greg Shiano and Tampa Bay "We play the game hard til they tell us it's over"

It's not like it was a 2 score game, I think Greg Shiano was in the right.

What you thinking bout this?

^i think its not something you do, and its a good reason to try and run up the score on Tampa if you get the chance

wonder who Jaybee is pulling for tonight...his favorite college QB, or the NFL team he's cheered for for a few years since living in Atlanta

Broncos win: Panthers are in a 3-way tie for 1st in the division
Falcons win: TOB recruited Ryan

Atlanta backs are in better sync with Manning than anyone on the Broncos.

I dunno, I personally think its a little unsportsmanlike to use a victory formation when there's still a chance of losing the game because something went wrong. If the Giants had been up 10 then sure, go ahead and take a knee. They were up 7 and one fumbled snap means overtime.

If Tampa had sat back and the snap was fumbled everyone would be questioning their will to win or calling them lazy for not playing the full 60 minutes.

What's bullshit is the amount of flak these replacements have gotten from the networks. You didnt hear this much commentary about the officiating when the regulars were in there.

Yes, but not the obviously condescending tone, "already two overturned calls in this first quarter". The first one on the td was a good call on the field, just more angles allowed the overturn.

Atlanta grandstands for a call after the play, flag comes out 5 seconds later. Terrible.

^5 you might have a point if the criticism wasn't deserved, but it's 100% deserved

and it's more than blown calls. the players/coaches have no respect for them, and they shouldn't

It's pretty evident the players and coaches don't respect the officials, half the reason for their apparent "terribleness".

Fox livid when there were actually 12 men on the field

at least they have the replay capability if they can't call anything right the first time

^^so maybe the extra 10% is due to shitty high school refs

just seems like since the refs are so completely 100% inexperienced in reffing NFL games, they're actually letting the crowd/players/coaches dictate when they throw or dont throw flags

Or statistical variations.

To your edit, it does seem that way a bit to me too. I'd only be upset though if they get goaded into a truly bad call.

i might be reaching on home record meaning anything this early

i just dont know how anybody could watch the preseason and these first two weeks and not think these refs are terrible and have been making numerous bad calls in every game, moreso than the regular refs would

That was poor mechanics by the ref, didn't watch the player go down with the ball.

There have been numerous times throughout the seasons where that exact play has been missed the same way.

i think the "every scoring play will be reviewed" was put in by Goodell because he figured every team would run out of red flags in the first half with these lingerie league refs
