I like how Simmons hasn't sold out now that he's a talking head. Yes he can be annoying talking about the Celtics, but that's who he's always been. I would think most would tone down their fandom and definitely not call out guys like Doc Rivers once they're actually able to rub elbows with them, but Bill keeps on being a fan and thats entertaining.

Honestly, it's probably a great thing for him. His effort and control issues are perceived as bad enough that even with his immense physical gifts, he was pushed out of the draft. He's going to have to work his ass off and shut the hell up if he wants to be a pro, which is exactly what he's needed to do all along.

That 2010 list is depressing to look at. I feel bad for CJL, but he was a headcase and his lack of consistent effort on both ends of the court had to have played a role in him going undrafted. I'm sure this will be used against us now too in recruiting.

After watching that draft last night, I find it ridiculous that so many international players were drafted just so teams wouldn't have to pay them. I think that crap should be outlawed.

No way Zo would have dropped as far as he did if you didn't have that crap going on. And maybe even Howell and Leslie would have been drafted.

^^ There is no guaranteed money for any 2nd round picks. At least with the Euro guys, the NBA can let them stay in Europe and develop before committing to them with a contract. With the college guys, you draft them and then have to cut them if they are not good enough. Can't blame the NBA teams for doing this, it's all part of the CBA.
