"It was such a loud explosion that some plastic containers fell off the shelf." Henry Allen Jr., the NAACP chapter president, told The Gazette the explosion was strong enough to knock items off the walls and that volunteers who looked outside to see what happened saw what they described as a gas can rigged with some kind of incendiary device, such as a flare. "We'll move on," Allen told the newspaper. "This won't deter us from doing the job we want to do in the community." Photos from the scene showed evidence markers littering the area surrounding the building, local police and their police bomb squad maneuvering around yellow tape. "The investigation is ongoing and it is not known at this time if the NAACP or a business in the vicinity was the intended target," said Amy Sanders, an FBI special agent."

In fact, it just happened a few days ago in Durham. A black guy was after he supposedly charged and pointed a gun at officers. He wasn't stopped, harassed and killed because he was black. He was killed because he was playing with an air-soft gun that looked real, that even his mom said was real.

There is no "factual inference" that can logically lead to "A constant fear that you will be shot, due to your race, on the street, by the police."

This is absolutely liberal white guilt garbage. There aren't any statistics or facts even referenced in the article, it's all vague feel-good white guilt nonsense that doesn't mention specific problems or solutions, it just perpetuates the "You're a victim nothing is your fault, vote democrat" message.

Factual Inference:

So Michael Brown got shot because he robbed a store and fought a cop, but his skin was black and that's all the media cares about... so factual inference... black = shot by cops! I'm black, therefore = Constant fear.

I used to know lots of black people, but they were all shot on the street by racist white cops. I wasn't shot because I am white, and this is my white privilege, but now that I have opened my heart and acknowledged it, we can move forward as a society.

I'm not 100% convinced that's racism... i think that cop was just nuts. The guy did look like the person they were looking for (who turned out to be innocent anyway), i'm betting the cop would have handled that no matter the color of the suspect.

^ cop was already fired, IIRC, so the protests are working regardless-- to help both black and white people out. It seems in general policy makers are paying more attention to issues of systemic racism, and hopefully this trend continues, because it's good for everyone.

That's brutal. Can't punch the kid, or you get kicked out of school. Can't complain to the teacher, they don't really do anything, can't complain to the principal, they just get a talking-to, can't complain to the courts, case just gets dismissed.

Literally no recourse for direct and systemic racism in that case... I don't know if I can imagine how frustrating that must be.
