Hope Duke, Louisville, and UVA all win today. An undefeated ACC into the Sweet 16 is a massive statement on the quality of our conference and NC State being part of the group is clutch for us.

I'm rooting for NIU. They have a great player in Tuttle, but we will have multiple mismatches in our favor otherwise. Plus we can throw Abu, Anya, Washington, and Freeman at Tuttle to try and slow him down. UL has just as much talent as us and it is hard to beat the same time twice in a season, especially one with a great coach. I just think UNI represents a better match up for us.

I DO want UVA. We excel at post-season revenge games against top teams (Syracuse last year, UVA the year before, Duke in 2007, Wake in 2005 and 2003, UMd in 2002).

Michigan State looks a lot better than UVA right now.

You know what I like about watching us play versus a lot of the other teams playing?

Nobody is going to give us any excuses for how we play, as a result we aren't hearing about plantar fasciitis or fractured pinky fingers. I guarantee we have players who are dealing with some type of injury this far in the season, but it's not being broadcasted as a way out if we lose. I also like how we play as a team and share the basketball, we aren't relying on a single player to carry the team (UNC) in the last ~10 games at least.

I also really like calling out Obama, that is a classic NC State moment, one I will never forget seeing live. The media will probably report more on that one sentence than we have heard about all of UNC's current "troubles" (2 lawsuits (already lost one) and NCAA/SACS/Fed Investigations). I just hope Barber doesn't dwell on it too much and focuses on practice.

UVA is still a good team, they're clearly not the same when Anderson isn't healthy which hurts them severely due to their lack of depth. I think most of their team comes back next season which will make the ACC very strong again next year.
