Regarding all the Goodell hate...what was he supposed to do? He would have been crucified if he had done nothing in wake of all the allegations and report he had at hand. Everyone would have accused the NFL of being in bed with the Pats.

Now everyone is vilifying him for the exact opposite. I'm no particular fan of his, but it's basically a lose/lose scenario for him.

In regions where only 1 4:00 game is scheduled, then if that game is on another station, then the early game can't run past either when that market's 4:00 game starts or when the last 4:00 game starts (typically 4:25)

So, since there was only 1 4:00 game in your region and the OT game was on Fox, I'm guessing you're getting a CBS game as your 4:00 game. The late 4:00 game was the DEN/BAL game that started around 4:25. So, once that game started, Fox had to drop the Seattle game in most regions (pretty much any market outside of SEA & STL)

In short, the 4:00 games are given precedence if they're on a different station. If the 4:00 game was on Fox today, then Fox would've had the chance to show either OT or the start of their late game
