I mean I'm glad we won @Wake, also glad we're not winless in the ACC anymore.
But not sure how you can watch those last 3 quarters and not still question if this team will earn a bowl game. I mean we SHOULD get to 6 wins, but think most were hoping for 8 wins this season.
Clemson just crushed Miami. We're going to need to play the entire game like we did the first quarter just to keep it competitive. And by that I don't mean score 28-points per quarter, I mean be aggressive on offense, get some sacks and force some 3-and-outs. 10/24/2015 3:57:33 PM |

Is anybody cataloging all these Sunshine Earl posts? Or am I gonna have to do some message_search.aspx legwork during basketball season when he shits on Gott for the same thing he's praising Doeren for? 10/24/2015 4:34:22 PM |

Can we start a petition to outlaw college kickers and just force everyone to go for it on fourth. 10/24/2015 5:01:18 PM |

i haven't read any of this thread, so i'm sure it's been discussed. but we entirely went away from the no-huddle hurry up offense that we ran for the first few possessions. maybe that's because we did jump out to such a big lead, we felt like we could relax a bit (i don't like that line of thinking if that's the case). but it's frustrating to watch us continually go away from the things that seem to be working. of course, you do have to keep the defense guessing. but on Bambard's 2nd missed FG, we marched down the field by running it down their throats. we then attempt 3 straight passes (one of which Jacoby missed wide open Trowell) and end up missing a FG. that shit is so frustrating. we won easily today, and maybe we went conservative late because we had a big lead and didn't wanna show too much with Clemson looming next week. but it's certainly worrisome.
obviously there are positives to be taken from the win as well. Jacoby looked much better than he did vs UL and VT. the competition was weaker, but it was nice to see him hit some passes that he's missed, particularly a couple of long balls.
also, surely Maples and/or Cole can't be any worse at FGs.

Still cant believe he missed that wide open player in the end zone.
My advice? Take Clemson no matter what the spread is. 10/24/2015 6:02:35 PM |
