I thought Pence's strategy to make Trump look like a victim of bad mouthing worked well for him. He did what Trumps does, which is to deny any negative claims about him, while simultaneously trashing the Obama administration, and Hillary. As others said, I think he 'won' the debate, but Kaine acted much more presidential.

Pence just seemed more chill and nonchalant. Things would clearly get under Kaine's skin, then he'd freak out and interrupt or get really flustered. I think that is what edged it out for Pence. I mean, I'm voting for Hillz and realized that Kaine's information was far more factual, but even I felt that Pence was better.

So many folks (mostly Trump supporters) are calling Kaine rude, a jerk, saying he kept interrupting, etc.

The official count was Kaine interrupted 46 times, but Pence did it 59 times.

For reference, in the 1st debate Trump interrupted Hillary 51 times to her 17 times doing it to him.

I think people just see what they want to see.

Because it was a defining moment from a town hall debate, which is what's happening tonight and what this thread is about? Like it or not, Bill Clinton is still very much part of the Democratic party and Hillary's campaign. The fact that he's a sex creep doesn't make him less right about policy. Plenty of people care what he says and does, look no further than his Obamacare comments a few days ago.
