How did anyone survive that explosion on Mars? Smoke was coming out, so it wasn't small enough to be entirely contained within the building. It would have gone from 1 atm to near vacuum in less than a second.

lol seriously -- the American government considers Margo to be a traitor and are only not arresting her for treason because of her diplomatic immunity. As far as they know, she could be a Soviet spy, and a particularly niche one in this situation due to her familiarity with the people involved. And even on top of that, she'd probably have death threats all over the place. The secret service (or whoever protects foreign ambassadors) would likely have agents visibly on her at all times outside of her hotel room, with more secretly following her. The USSR would have the same. There is no way she'd be able to get away.


Unless she has secretly been a North Korean spy this entire time.
