Page 5Probably some amount of spoiler here...Just finished rooster. Worth watching but i actually think like more weird than dtf st louis. John c mcginley, dylan, and the cop(and even hes on a short leash) are only characters I don't think are pieces of shit. I'm guessing katie is preggers based on how much they emphasized the skeeting inside her scene in the episode. I really feel like none of these people should be like working in the worldTold phill if it lasts 3 seasons they will have all fucked each other by then.Around episode 6 or 7 I was saying out loud, is this what tv has come to now, that the only good shit is shit that would get you in an hr office in half a second in real life?]

Anyone catch the new Green Lantern show? I haven't watched yet but am curious as to peoples' thoughts. In terms of live action Green Lantern media, it doesn't have much of a bar to top, lol.

I haven’t watched it yet, but definitely plan to. Maybe over lunch today

I liked it, definitely good enough to continue watching to see where it’s going.

Silo really has me triggered for people from the British Isles doing mediocre or worse or just weird American accents anyway hello Kelly Macdonald

^Not everyone can be as good as Hugh Laurie or Christian Bale.Watched it last night, it was enjoyable. I'm curious how Guy Gardner will fit into this as Superman 2025 established him as Earth's "current" Green Lantern.

Has anyone watched The Sympathizer from '24? Looks intriguing.

Still liking Lanterns but the "5% charge" only letting him fly for like 10 seconds activated the Simpsons xylophone part of my brain. Also the rich guy's wife clearly has a major part to play here right, the rich guy is a smoke screen?
8/24/2026 10:41:15 PM
^That part stood out to me too. And actually it was MORE than 5%, he said that there was a backup reserve by bumping it against a flat surface. If hovering 30 feet in the air for a few seconds depletes the ring by 5% + backup reserve, how is he able to fly to an entirely different planet? I get that he's supposed to be a bit washed up, but he still clearly takes his role very seriously. Why would he be surprised to learn it was only at 5%? Shouldn't he be keeping a mental note of its estimated charge level most of the time? If there was an alien threat in town, why not fly back to his house at like 2am when nothing is happening and recharge it before it gets too low, then fly back? It looks like it would take him less than an hour.

lol "most of the diamond money is gone"wtf did they spend it on? A diamond of that size would easily be worth tens of millions of dollars, even in the 90s AFTER any taxes. Possibly hundreds of millions. Factor in that it has extra terrestrial origins, and it would be even more valuable. And they didn't even buy a bigger house? John mentioned that they were investigated for it, which is legitimately what would happen, but a jeweler's inspection would reveal it to be real and if a diamond of that size went missing anywhere, it would be well known.[Edited on September 2, 2026 at 8:45 AM. I understand TV shows frequently need Exposition episodes, but I'm not sure this show has earned the ability to have an exposition ep for the third episode where it's pretty much 100% just backstory. Overall found it a little boring.
9/2/2026 6:43:59 PM
^I didn't find it boring per se, but I feel like an entire episode was unnecessary when it didn't advance the plot at all. I think it would have been better to drop flashbacks in throughout the entire season. That being said, I did appreciate them showing why tf the dad was shooting apples off of his head and why John is so stoic and unemotional all the time.
9/3/2026 10:57:44 AM
Yeah, I was kind of frustrated/mad that it didnt advance the shows main mystery as well, but at the same time thought it was a pretty good episode.

When is the chair company season 2 coming out?
9/7/2026 12:32:26 PM
On Lanterns, to continue the theme of unnecessary pickiness, why did we need the whole scope purchase thing, he couldn't just buy binoculars?
9/8/2026 10:56:50 AM
^I was thinking the same thing. Do rifle scopes have something that will reduce lens reflections on them though? Maybe he was worried that the snipers in the guard towers would have seen his lens reflection with a pair of binoculars. Only other thing I could think of is that a rifle scope sometimes has markings on it that can allow for estimating distance. As a veteran Marine Corps sniper though, he should have no problem doing that anyway with a solid pair of binoculars. So maybe it will come up again in the future?
