Honestly don’t think the refs have been that bad. Generally have let both teams play which is always better. But then the whistle tightened for a stretch in the 4th and then they seem to back off the whistle again. Just odd and what generally makes basketball so frustrating…inconsistent whistle within the game.

I guess we tried to get Cunane in a pick and roll with Diamond having the option to drive, shoot, or pass. Just was too crowded on that side of the court. UConn seemed to have defended it well. Surprised Perez wasn’t out there though

I went back and looked at the 5 second thing. By my very accurate stopwatch on my phone it was almost exactly 5 seconds, maybe slightly over. But by the refs’ hand count it was more like 4.5.

Amazing what had to happen for UConn to win. Bueckers went nuts in the OTs, they had a home court advantage, and a handful of favorable calls down the stretch…and we still could’ve won that game.

Fun to root for a team/program with legitimate stakes on the line. 3 straight ACC titles is fucking cool as hell. Elite 8 is cool as hell. It’s easy to be mad about the circumstances of the L, but it’s cool to be relevant this late in March.

tired of it not being us. Proud of this team though. I think the final 4 would have elevated Wes Moore into a new catagory. I also think had we beaten UConn at home, we might have won it all.
