This would probably be better up on craigslist but what the hell:
97 Toyota Corolla, dark green w/ biege/ tan cloth interior, paint starting to lose the gloss coat
4 door, 1.6L, auto, manual windows and locks (screams econobox)
190k new plugs, wires, distr, motor mounts in past 20k miles
Replaced front left caliper, cv axle, and bearing (bearing went out and went ahead and did the cv axle. Had to replace caliper because old bleeder screw snapped off.)
New brake pads/shoes all around and new front rotors, brake fluid flushed - this is when the bleeder screw thing happened.
Timing belt visually checked and in good shape, passes inspections w/ no problem. No CEL's or warning lamps lit.
Also recently cleaned EGR and inner throttle body intake.
Interior in great shape for this old of a car except half-assed stapled headliner from previous owner.
Ac and heat work great, just recharged refrig over a year ago and still working strong.
Gets around 34ish mpg on highway, 30ish w/ AC. Will post pics later.
$2200. You'll find cheaper elsewhere but won't need anything mechanically worked on for this.

here is some updated info:

"Would like $15k. Just over 59,000 miles.
Attached are pics and some info from the 850 registry on the car,
Would include all OEM service manuals in hardcopy and electronic format.

Here was recent ad....

This 1994 BMW M70 850CiA is in rare company. For 1994, only 45 were constructed. Extremely low miles with an almost perfect interior,
* Exterior: OXFORDGRUEN METALLIC (324)
o Only 4 cars were produced
* Upholstery/Interior: LEDER NAPPA/PERGAMENT HELL (0358/M5PH)
o Only 2 cars were paired with Oxford Green Metallic
o The other M70 850CiA with this color combination is missing
This car is truly a gem. I purchased it from the original owner our of St. Petersburg, FL. It was bought and serviced at Fields BMW. I have done several upgrades since purchasing the car in late 2009. These include rebuilding light buckets, replacing all pillar covers, new M- Parallel staggered wheels (18 x 8 front, 18 x 9.5 rear) and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires (245-40 front, 275-35 rear), front license plate delete, rear lip spoiler, detailing of engine compartment, new windshield, new expansion tank, windshield washer tanks and caps, rear shock reinforcements. All underhood stickers and covers replaced. Ice cold A/C , No accidents , Runs & drives great , Well maintained,

Thanks for looking guys,

5 speed manual, 163k miles, leather. The good: daily driver, regularly driven to blacksburg, richmond, charlotte, mrytle beach etc. Had the car since it has 40k miles, regularly changed oil every 3-4k, plugs, filters, etc. I wouldnt hesitate to drive this anywhere. The bad, it has a 163k miles on it, has some chips in the paint from road debris, interior is not perfect, check engine light is on. I have had the code read, it is the park neutral safety switch. This issue has caused the light to come on several times in the past, it usually goes off within a few hundred miles. Also note this is a manual transmission, therefore doesnt have a park neutral safety switch.

'02 C5 Z06. 139k miles. $18.5k

Found a Seven that I want. Don't have to sell the Corvette first, but I'd like to, both to keep more cash on hand, and so I don't have such a cluttered mess in the garage/driveway.

If anybody has or knows of any older motorcycles for sale in the area, lmk.

I've been browsing CL as well.

Just looking for something somewhat cheap that I can tinker around on and ride back and forth to campus.

It's fine if it needs a little bit of work, but I'd like it to be somewhat running.

70s, 80s, 90s, etc.

Posted this in kwadackle's thread...but didn't want it to get lost:

Quote :
"I want to jump on this thread instead of starting a new one:

'96 BMW, 328i, Automatic, 184k miles, Black with Tan Leather

I wouldn't say excellent condition, but much better than average for a 16 year old car. A couple scratches in the leather, scratch here and there on the paint. Car was re-painted about 3/4 years ago....so the outside looks really good. I've replaced a ton of parts over the past couple years, so not too much else that needs to be worked on.

Kelley Blue Books says $3,300 for excellent condition. I'd like to get at least $3,000. What are my chances on Craigslist? And if not that route, what do you recommend?"

Way too much money for a rattle bombed bike but would you be interested in selling parts off of it? I'll be picking up a DR650 this winter.

^fuck that mess. looks like a 'nicely painted shitty ricer' on the outside

plus, you can always tell how srs someone is about power by the air filter. Follow along with me here. See that cheap ass clamp on? looks like someone went to autozone at 8:57pm and had to grab the only one he saw. that thing's going to hate life with 500whp flowing through it. People who are conscientious about their powertrain usually install the largest possible quality filter.

77 oldsmobile 98 with a 403, automatic transmission. This is a your grandmas car but it has a professionally installed propane conversion system. It can run on gasoline or propane, there is a LP tank in the trunk, and a switch and control cable under the dash. The vaporizer sits on top of the carburetor. It was installed by a company long gone on six forks road. The fill connection is behind the license plate. This car runs and drives, cranks on gas or lp, can be switched while running. The car is good shape and would be a comfortable ride, or buy it and put the LP kit on your rock crawler. Buy the car and take it with you for $1000 or take what you want and leave the rest for the same money. This is in Bladen county and we can help you take it off.

[Edited on November 14, 2012 at 8:21 PM. Reason : big ass tank in the trunk]

My car has a tiny crack in the radiator; it needs to be topped off once every couple of weeks or so. I intended to fix it before selling it, so I didn't mention it. The Chevy dealership down in Pensacola said it would be about $400 for them to fix it.

It's had a light mechanical whine for the 50k miles that I've owned it; I didn't think much of it since they're sort of mechanically noisy cars by their very nature, and it didn't get worse or cause any problems. Well, a few days ago, the whine got noticeably worse. It still drives perfectly fine, but something definitely needs repair at this point. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say something in the rear diff, or the transmission output shaft bearing.

I'll let the car go for $14,000 now. If you want it, the best time to do it is tomorrow. I'll be heading back to FL on Friday morning (I can buy something else to drive, or borrow an extra family car for a little while).

(I do have the title with me up here; I brought it figuring on listing it in a new market for 10 days).
